Aren't they intelligent enough to see thsi themselves? I mean, I rip on anti-progressives sometimes for being foolish, but if they seriously don't realize his satire then I actually fel intellectually superior! And I don't want to, I hate exalting myself!

On and on I have waded through the negative political discourse on these boards but how many of you are actually registered voters and are you going to vote on the midterm...or are all you going to b#%th and complain about the outcome...no hating please (for example Bush stinks or the libs are evil...just honest answers...

A repair man makes a faulty repair on the foundation of a leaking basement. The basement is still leaking. The repair man was called to come back and repair it; he said he would not be able to make it until a few days later (i.e. until the check is cashed). The check is placed on "stop pay" until the work can be fixed. The repair man does not show the day he said he would come back to fix it. He never again calls to reschedule. Then he calls more than a week later to say he is placing a lien on the house because of non-payment. What can I do?

Why should we as Americans sit by, and watch countries that are so obviously breeding grounds for the same people that will do anything to kill us, on our soil and their own grow larger and larger. Do people understand that this thing is way bigger than Bush's "personal vendetta", and they arent going to just go away. Its kind of hard to fight people who attack you with airplanes when they are already dead. Saddam Husseins regime wasnt just a threat becase of WMD, it was his terrorist idealogy.

I received a ticket on Sept. 8th. Had it not been school zone hours, I would have been under the speed limit... nonetheless, I was careless and deserved the ticket. Ok, so I saved up the money to pay the ticket, but when I went to pay it, today, they said they had no record of it and could not process a payment for me.

The lady telling me this had to consult another coworker, and he said that, although it SHOULD have posted by now, the ticket probably hadn't been entered into the system, yet. The ticket needs to be paid by October 3rd.

The lady told me to call every day to see if the ticket had been put into the system, yet. I am extremely worried that somehow this is going to wind up as a warrant for my arrest for not dealing with the ticket. But I'm trying to deal with the ticket. So, any advice what I should do?

It'd be great if I didn't HAVE to pay, but honestly, that's not realistic.
I live in San Antonio. Thanks.
