Usually, we are alone. To that extent I have to agree with you.
However, we have to give a big thanks to Canada. They responded VERY quickly in helping us after Katrina. Quite impressive actually.

Seems like we help the world when they have their natural disasters. If I am wrong please tell which countries came. I am just curious.???
we??? when was the last time you helped another country , yes the usa has aid workers but if you dont support them in any way dont expect some help from strangers, and dont forget 2 weeks ago massive forest fires covered the north west usa and hundreds of canadian firefighters crossed the border to help out, turns out the fires eventually headed to canada and now surprise we are on our own to put them out.

Apparently Venezuela gave more money for Katrina than Bush did. But you know that Hugo Chavez...he was probably just trying to show Bush up....what a sneaky trick.

yes Cuba mobilized a medical team but Bush refused to let them in, Mexico send a column of military personnel and supplies.
Australia , Canada and the UK did offer any thing spacific but said if need anytyhing ask. It would be pointless for say the UK to send al its helicopters when the american coast guard had more but bush didnt deploy them.
America had teh resources but Bush misadministered them.Under Clinton FEMA was a cabinet level post under Bush and his small government it was given to the president of the quarter horse association , which resulted in Bush's inept handeling and maerican deaths

What rock were you hiding under?
Many countries did come and help us, even faster than we helped ourselves. Even small countries like Denmark and Costa Rica sent teams with equipment to purify drinking water, that kind of thing.
The U.K. , Canada, France, many countries sent people, food, drink, power equipment.
You need to go back and read the archives.
