In the even of a Nuclear war the fastest sustainable food supply to grow would be marijuana. It is the highest source of protein next to soybean.

Pot just might save the remaining survivors in the world when all hell breaks loose.

Will you still obey the police when they tell you that you can't eat because there is no food and marijuana is the only viable source of fast quick food production.

We'll see how terrible that it is when it is the only crop that can survive harsh conditions and will grow 20 feet in 8 months.

I sometimes notice stranded motorist on the road, and of course, in this day and age, it is hard for a person with car trouble to find someone that is willing to stop and help them. Thankfully, i've yet to be in that position, but i've always wondered about the duties of Police officers, when dealing with motorist having vehicle trouble. Sometimes, I will see a police, or highway patrol car pass by the motorist, and not stop. I was just wondering, are they even supposed to stop and help someone with car trouble, or is it left up to the discretion of the Police officer involved? If the driver had to walk, would they pick them up and take them somewhere to get help for the vehicle? Also, if you have car trouble, could you call the Police station for help...especially at night, when the situation can get more dangerous? If you did, would they actually send someone out to help you, or is their main focus on criminal activity only?

Under the crime listings in our paper, they have categories like DUI, battery, possession, ETC with names listed of whomever did the crime. What does "Hold" mean? It bothers me because the guy that was listed is a known sex offender in our neighborhood..does this mean he violated his probation or ???

So who exactly are all of these "patriotic" Americans hunting undocumented immigrants? I guess the KKK limited their membership and this was the only way they could be racist right? I suppose hunting down an "inferior" race makes them remember their good old days when they could discriminate against other American citizens based on race.

Laws have changed that. So I guess the only group of people they can pick on now is undocumented workers, by disguising it as a means of protecting their country.

It's laughable. If migrant workers posed ANY threat to this country. They would be out of here so fast....

Young rape victim undergoes HIV treatment

A 5-year-old girl is undergoing treatment for possible HIV infection
after the man charged with raping her -- an illegal alien who was
previously deported to Mexico -- admitted he has the virus,
authorities said.

The case has re-energized some state lawmakers to push for tougher penalties for people who commit sex crimes and knowingly expose their victims to HIV, the virus that causes AIDS.

Julio Cesar Cruz Martinez, 32, of Fairhope is being held in a
segregated unit at the Baldwin County Corrections Center on charges of first-degree rape, sexual abuse and sodomy, a jail official said Wednesday.

Police said Martinez has confessed to some of the acts involving the girl and to knowing he had HIV before the crime reportedly occurred Sept. 13.
