If he is insane, he should NOT BE FREED, but interned in a Mental Institute and given the normal treatments that the Mentally Insane receive for their problems.

No one should ever be freed on the grounds of insanity. If you are truly insane, then how do we know that you won't do something horrific again?

I'd much sooner free someone who killed someone they knew for a "practical" reason than some psycho who kills randomly. I'm not saying it's ok to kill someone because they made you mad, but at least that person could be taught to channel their anger. If your brain is rotten, how do you fix that?

You don't go free just because you're insane. You're still convicted of the crimes and must still undergo some form of incarceration because you are a threat to society and/or yourself. Typically this means receiving therapy while in prison, but you don't just get to wander off because you weren't sane when you broke the law.

No. The legal definition of insane, is knowing the difference between right and wrong. You can tell by his lies that he does know that. Although, he is insane.
