When one former CIA operative candidly claimed that ‘Intelligence services are the heart and soul of a new country’ (Washington Post)), they were inadvertently expressing a position that Noam Chomsky might call ‘vulgar Marxist’.

The GOP (grand oil party) would have us believe these lower gasoline prices reflect lower demand and not that they think we will forget the gauging and vote republican. Reminds me of in the Army 2 weeks b4 the inspector came around how the food improved, the mail was on time, we got more time to ourselves. The worst part was the vast majority immediately forgot all the BS and then when the inspector left back to the lousy food, no more turkey for us. How bout you do you like turkey or are you one???

Stop denying every truth the liberals say about Bush because you refuse to educate yourself. you only attempt to state that you support the war (which is not producing any results) or you insult Bill Clinton. why don't you WAKE UP already?! and see the negatives of Bush compared Clinton! the simple truth is that thanks to Clinton, the one responsible for the first attempt of the WTC bombings was caught and arrested.
Clinton led a very strong anti-terrorism campaign which he gets very little credit for.
Want to know the proven facts?:

the crime rate is higher now that Bush is in office.
more unemployed people now that Bush is in office.
freedom has been reduced now that Bush is in office.
America is less safe now that Bush is in office.
middle-class people are not as rich now that Bush is in office.
shall i continue?
Bush has cut off funds from many organizations and charities (too many to count) to finance these insane wars.

Do you think "Anyone in the middle east probably deserves to die"?

Do you think (like me) "How did America let this happen"?

I just finished reading the Yahoo! article on Shaker Aamer. He is a detainee at the Guantanamo prison whose lawyers claim has become mentally unstable as a result of long-term solitary confinement and repeated and rather harsh beatings and abuse. That he now cares for insects that were in his room and can no longer function properly. On top of that, there is supposed to be strong evidence of him being innocent (though not conclusive yet). I'm curious as to what others think of this story. Whether it is true about the abuse, and if so what we should do about it? And if you don't think it to be true, what we should do about him trying to take advantage of the situation he is in? For the record, I myself think it is true about the abuse and that he should be taken to trial already and allowed to see the evidence against him. If he is capable of doing so (mentally competent), he should be allowed to defend himself (and released, but only if found innocent based on the evidence).

The rape of Indigenous women was commonplace during the conquest of the Americas. Even Columbus wrote in his diary that he raped an Indigenous woman. Columbus also knew that he could control his lieutenants by providing women for them. He wrote that his lieutenants preferred girls around ten years old.

Stannard writes that this behavior reflects the "demonstration of power and the degredation of both the victims and her loved ones."

How did the rape of Indigenous women and children reflect power and control over all Indigenous People?

Remember, our balance of trade with these nations despite the oil sales have historically been in the black. Bush of course has ruined all that.

Why can't some of you see that you are being brainwashed?

Saudi Arabia and Egypt have always had a simmering dislike of all things American, but we offer them more aid under this wicked administration.

Blacks are already favored by the government, colleges, and employers due to policies such as affirmative action and welfare. When are they going to realize that, no, we shouldn't pay their welfare because they spent their food money on Gucci shoes.

I don't see the Mexicans complaining about their plight when they are FAR more disadvantaged. I don't see the Japanese complaining about the internment camps from WWII still. They all work hard for their money. Mexicans, despite working two jobs, are often still poorer than blacks that were born in the U.S. I don't hear complaints from them about oppression, just immigration.

They just need to suck it up, work hard, stop buying rims, grills, etc., and stop glorifying drugs, murder, and gangstas. Don't ya think?
