Does seem strange that price of oil has dropped but I do not trust the oil companies they will come up with some excuse to raise the price after November elections.

Opec controls the price of gas not Congress. However, the Saudi's may be playing games to help the republicans get reelected. Summer is over and demand is less and this makes a difference too. When George w. was installed as president in 2000 gas was about 90 cents a gal. We will never see that price again. Supply and demand will reflect up or down. My guess is it will go up.

There is no correlation between gas prices and the election. Watch the price of a barrel of oil go up or down and see the price of gas follow it, if that isn't too difficult for you.

The greatest threat facing this country is illegal immigration, not $3 gas.

Just as the oil companies reaped the rewards of the Bush administration's positive attitude towards the price of oil, the oil companies are returning the favor by letting the price of oil drop and the price of gasoline drop for a little while to repay the favor. However, soon after the elections are over, there may be another reason for the price to rise again........
