I don't think that you realize that the country has been in danger since the before WWII. First the Germans and Japanese, then the Soviets and communists. Now it is terrorists, terrorist sympathizers and rouge nations. Terrorists have been a threat for years. Americans just choose to ignore what was happening in the world for the past 15 years (and actually longer). Even if we pulled out of Iraq now, we would still be in danger. It is not our foreign policy that makes us a target, but rather our entire way of life.

I say yes he is putting our country in danger. He put our country in danger the day he stepped into office and didn't do anyting about 911. Even, now, he is doing no good. Have you seen his reputation with the American people? Anyway, besides that, yes our country is very divided. There are so many different views out there. Some think we shouldn't be at war, while others do, and some just plain out don't care! Then again that's why America is so popular, we're a diverse culture.

We are only divided due to some people's determination to believe all of the media and government's propaganda. Ignorance versus knowledge. Both parties have both. Education on the issues is key to waking up the masses. If that is even possible at this point.

A major reason we are so divided is because of all the biased reporting going on by the media. The media now is so much influenced by opinion rather than actual factual reporting. It is so readily available in so many different means...TV, radio, internet, newspaper, magazine....etc. I think it's pretty scary when someones argument for or against the current situation begins with...."well CNN said....."

Bush could not have prevented Sep 11 attacks, there was no way he could have known in advance. Besides, it was far more important to finish reading "My Pet Goat" than Dr. Rices warning about Osama bin Laden.
And his golf game need lots of work. He is the President, and needs his vacation time.

Yes, I can definitely agree that Bush has and continues to put our country in danger with all of his tough talk based on faulty intelligence. I don't just mean his faulty intelligence either........

We are apparently still divided on the issue.

Because many people link that public admission of felony crimes, confirmed by the Supreme Court, should be sufficient to take action.

And many people apparently still think that laws can be broken at will, without any trial or even without question, as long as the person breaking them is claiming to be doing it for our own good.
