Hello. I am an international student in Canada and I am having some trouble about a residence contract I have.

When the house owner asked me to sign the contract, it said 2 years contract. but I told them that I might move out after 1 year.
And they agreed with it, and I signed the contract.

When I told them that I wanted to move out after one year, they told me not to move out because the contract says 2 years, and they said they don't really know if we talked about moving out after a year or not.
They are telling me to stay here because the contract says 2 years, but I signed it under the condition that I would be able to move out after one year even though it doesn't say about 1 year.

In that case, is the contract still effective even though they lied to me and made me sign it?

I don't know anything about Canadian law, so if anyone know about it, please help me.

Why were the 4 UN soldiers killed when they asked Israel to stop comeing so close to the well marked and decades old UN observatory post? What happened to the promised investigation?

Charges of Israel useing napalm and white phospurous were leveled - where is the report confriming or denying that?

Why hasn't one of the promised answers come out of Israel?

Are they hiding somthing or just in false hope we'd forget?

"If you are 20 and not a liberal, you don't have a heart. If you are
40 and not a conservative, you don't have a brain"

I don't agree with the former part of the quote. But I do agree with the latter. Seriously, I think if you are 40 and haven't yet found a way through your liberal indoctrination, then there is a good
possibility that you don't have a brain, so to speak. I was a liberal in college
like nearly everyone else. I was eventually able to overcome this
pervasive mentality. I believe most people eventually do, as well.
This is why I can only shake my head at the righteousness of
young liberals. It's a sad state of mind, yet they're not even aware of it.

This is where is gets complicated, the couple is in the middle of a divorce, not yet finalized and the husband refuses to change his mailing address. Since the divorce is still not final is this considered "community property" since it was received at the marital address? My ex husband is in serious arrears for child support and I am expecting a letter from an attorneys office in regards to the foreclosure of our marital home, I opened this thinking it was a document I needed to sign for the mortgage company, but it is in relation to a settlement for wrongful death of his grandfather, on which both he and our children are named as heirs. I would like to give my attorney/friend of the court this information, but am hoping since he won't change his address I will not be facing any charges for my error...any ideas?

I was in the military, as was my dad and my two brothers. Because of this, I enjoy the military rooms on yahoo.

A few nights ago, I started using a mic in the rooms. I went into one room and asked (thru my mic) "are there men in here who would be interested in chatting?"

I was immediately told that I was not wanted in the room and to go away. I was cursed at (I didn't curse back) and chopped to "bits." (by thier words)

Maybe they thought I was a talking "bot." I have no idea what happened, but i actually had a bit of a problem going to sleep that night because I couldn't believe that people could be so rude!

I am not a young kid, nor am I elderly (although some of the "young" kids might think I am)

I was just curious if any of you have run across this and what you did.

Any similar stories out there?.(I am not looking for advice...just your stories).

(And as a side note, I have been online since 1996, so I am NOT a newbie to chat.).

Most liberals don't own guns, so thats a huge disadvantage.

Then again most conservatives are over the age of 50, that would make an ugly army.

Just to poke some fun around, Who would win?

I was born on the 26th of January year 1980 in Naples Italy with both Filipino parents. After a year my mother brought me to the Philippines and I was adopted by my immediate relative and was naturalized as a Filipino only to find out after 25 years the truth about my citizenship. I had in my possession all the necessary documents pertaining to my Italian citizenship. I had my birth as well as my baptismal certificate and a certification from national illnesses insurance institute. I want to know if it is possible for me to acquire back my Italian citizenship or to have a dual citizenship. Can you please send me the information on how I should process my application and all the requirements that I need to submit and the time frame of the said process. Your consideration will be greatly appreciated.

By supporting Bushs' war in Iraq, which has bred thousands of new terrorist for us to worry about. This war has sucked millions upon millions of Dollars from our country. This money would be better spent protecting our porous borders, checking cargo coming into the country, securing nuclear plants, chemical plants and other key targets. Why do we need to be in Iraq?Didn't we come in friendship,to topple Saddam? No WMDs,so they were no threat to us.We don't need to export "democracy",ours isn't in to great of shape. We aren't the worlds policeman. If we came to liberate the Iraqs, why do they keep killing us?they see us as an invader now. This war makes our country MUCH LESS safe.don't you think? or should I say "can you think" Our current war mongering leaders can't seem to.Find and fight our real enemys, remeber,Iraqis arent supposed to be our enemys, they wernt the terrorists!where is Osama, and his bunch?watch now,as republicans call dems. weak on terror,as the reps.are in fact supporting it!

I've seen several political questions in which people on the far right made references to using violence against liberals in their answers, such as the question below (fifth answer down). I want to know the truth: do you say these things in all honesty? Do you seriously mean it? Or is it a way to vent anger, or what? If you seriously mean it, what have liberals done to deserve such violence, in your mind? I just want to know the answer, directly from you.

It is a fact that terrorists are using women and children as a means to accomplish terror activities. Terrorists have no respect for life, and now they are using liquid explosives.

How many of you feel that ALL carry on baggage should be banned, with the exception of wallets and prescription medication?

If this is done, do you believe that the chances of a plane going down due to terrorism would be almost non existent?

Are you willing to sacrifice carry on luggage for safety?

According to rasmussenreports.com, "The number of Americans calling themselves Republican has fallen to its lowest level in more than two-and-a-half years. Just 31.9% of American adults now say they're affiliated with the GOP. That's down from 37.2% in October 2004"

At the same time, "The number of Democrats has grown slightly, from 36.1% at the beginning of the year to 37.3% now."

Most interestingly, though, is that "those who claim to be unaffiliated have increased to 30.8% this month. That's the highest total recorded since Rasmussen Reports began releasing this data in January 2004."

So - will many of these unaffiliated voters throw their support behind one of the "Big Two" come November, or will they support alternative parties? If so, which ones and why?
