I've seen several political questions in which people on the far right made references to using violence against liberals in their answers, such as the question below (fifth answer down). I want to know the truth: do you say these things in all honesty? Do you seriously mean it? Or is it a way to vent anger, or what? If you seriously mean it, what have liberals done to deserve such violence, in your mind? I just want to know the answer, directly from you.

I should have written this above, but I'm not lumping all conservatives in this category, and yes, I have seen liberals do the same (I saw a question where a guy asked if we should ask China to bomb conservative houses, to "take out the trash"). I specifically want to know what motivates conservatives to say things like that about liberals.

You have to remember that many of the people who answer on here are kids. I ignore many liberal rants and tirades because they just seem like they come from someone who is immature or unlearned. I'm sure many of the more extreme conservative posts that make a call for violence are the same.

i think it goes both ways and for any matter.

just because you disagree doesn't mean you can take one idiotic apple and say the rest are bad. try not to let your double standards get in the way. you KNOW liberals do the same, so save the drama for something more important would ya?

I think that you are trying to think way to deeply into this. I am a conservative. there is a common thread between liberals, conservatives, & moderates...... we are all American but we see it in a different way, and that is always a good thing.

You know what they say: Talk is cheap. It takes money to buy beer.

I have always taken both sides to be spouting off rather than credible threats of violence. More than likely that is what it all is.

Rampant stupidity and hatred are common to the lunitic fringes of any group. Conservatives just tend to be better organized and more consistent than their opposition.
