I was reading the Yahoo article where Landrieu was responding to readers. She said that $110 billion of our tax dollars were allocated to New Orleans but most of it was wasted. She said it went to FEMA, Corps of Engineers, etc. and they in essence wasted it. What do you think? Is she passing the buck or is this reality? Oh, what ever happened to the record donations received by the Red Cross?

Everywhere I look, multinational corporations have slowly turned into the masters and owners of everything. Media conglomerates are multinational corporations themselves, spewing propaganda to promote so-called "free" market and more profits for their corporate brethen.
Factories and industries in the democratic first and second world closing one-by-one, to move their production to third world dictatorships and weak democracies with almost no labour rights, where they can pay whetever they hell they want to the workers there, who have to work in subhuman conditions.
In our countries, our societies decompose, with a widening wealth gap between rich and poor that generates resentment and crime, lowering health and education standards, and a gradual corporate takeover of all public spaces. The middle classes are crushed, driven into poverty, while a few chosen ones are allowed to raise to the top just to prove to the rest that "the system works".

I don't support the Iraq war, but why are they blowing up their own civilians? The Vietnam War was lost because they fought us (the enemy), while this war is being lost because muslims are suicidal/ homicdal maniacs

You should support equal rights for everyone, because whenever anyone doesn't have equal rights, everyone's rights are in danger.

Like that old quote.. when they came for the gays, the retarded, etc., I did not speak out, and when they came for me, there was no one left to speak out...

Justify your disagreement.

A lot of people are anti-immigrants in this country. I mean, yes, some of us are here causing trouble, and demanding things that this country shouldn't have to give us. But most of us are trying to make an honest living in this country, to have a better life, and to help out our family on other countries. We're hard workers, and honest people. Well, most of us are. They think that we're all the same, when we're really not. Like all caucasians being "white trash" or african-americans all being rappers, or gangsters. Not all of us are the stereotypes people make us out to be. Personally, I have a nice, big house, never inhabited before, nice custom made cars (mostly beemers) We have good honest jobs, I go to school.......... and we're still illegals. (well, I have a passport or visa. does that count?)
Our family doesn't riot, or demans certain rights. We're just honest, hard working people. In fact, a lot of us are. You just can't see past the other ones who give us a bad name.

I saw a news story last night that said gasoline prices in the US could be as low as $2 a gallon by Thanksgiving...Coincidence or is this proof that big oil & politicians have a conspiracy to defraud the American people?

Here is one of the emails I received from one

"From: Liberals Are Weak

Subject: Re. You want to know how retarded liberals like you are?

Message: ROTFLMAO

Michelle, the fact is that I don't give a damn about queers or lesbians. I don't. I don't care if they live, I don't care if they die. I just don't want my kids learning the art of munching tacos or pillow biting in 5th grade, and neither do most people, but that is what is being taught now.

Since I know it puts you and JW and the other imbiciles on here in a tizzy, I don't mind pushing the buttons. Enjoy your lunatic life. It will come to and end soon.

How's your hubby? Still fudgepacking his hollywood assistant? You must really enjoy having to clean that mess up."

Serious answers, please.

I personally feel that Islamic terrorism is presently the greatest threat to our way of life since WWII.

Even if they don't directly attack us, their tactics are slowly eroding our personal freedoms and privacy.

I can't help but get the impression that the Democratic agenda is cut and run, and I believe this would be an extremely bad and dangerous policy.

The Democratic party just doesn't seem to get it? They don't seem to take the war on terror seriously.

What do you think?

i went through an accident at age 15. because i was underage my mother was placed on the case being my rep. at age 18, my mother lost power of attourney to my case, because i was then of legal consent. when my lawer did the pay out, when i was 18, he maild the check to me in my name, but because of confusion with address, he then canceled the payment, and with my mother and as greety as she was harrased my lawyer into depositing the sum of money into her savings account by phone without my consent, or signing power of attourney. she then spent all the money without my consent as well. my question is... can he do that legaly? by law can i get my money back? do i sue him? or should he already know that he was wrong and just take care of it? how do i approach him.i want to keep the upper hand in this matter.
