according to the dictionary:

ter·ror·ism P Pronunciation Key (tr-rzm)
n.
The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons.

by this token: could it be argued the illegal invasion of Iraq, was in fact an act of state terrorism, designed to instill fear in the hearts of Middle Eastern Muslims?

why or why not would such an assertion be appropriate?

I keep hearing people on here, say, "Well, just legalize them and let them pay taxes like we do"! Do you people even REALIZE that anything ILLEGALS may pay in taxes, would amount to NOTHING in the long run???? When you take into account that illegals who don't make much money, will STILL be eligible for welfare services, free medical, food stamps, etc!!! PLUS, they would then be eligible for Earned Income Tax Credit, so they would actually be getting BACK more than anything they pay in during the year!!!!! And, if legalized, they could bring their FAMILY here, which would provide even MORE welfare benefits!!!! And, all this EXTRA money, will come from the middle class taxpayers!!!!

following quotes are taken from Plato's great work The Republic -

from this quote >> And isn't it a bad thing to be deceived about the truth, and a good thing to know what the truth is? For I assume that by knowing the truth you mean knowing things as they really are. (Plato, 380BC)<<<

note- republicans- thank Plato for the Republicanism- although it does mean- "belong's to the Public" does it still?

I am a well-known advocate for reductions in pork barrel spending and corporate welfare. Citizens Against Government Waste, the Concord Coalition, and Taxpayers for Common Sense, three nonpartisan organizations dedicated to those causes, have repeatedly commended him for his actions.

I have long been an advocate for creating a system of universal health care in America.

I was the only senator to vote against the USA PATRIOT Act when first voted on in 2001.

On July 14, 2005, I introduced a bill to the Senate that would ban lobbyists from giving gifts to senators and impose a $50,000 fine for violating the ban; force lawmakers to sign statements saying that lobbyists did not pay their travel expenses; forbid lawmakers from traveling on corporate jets.

I was one of 23 US senators to vote against H.J. Res. 114, which authorized President George W. Bush to use force against Iraq.

Always "since May 31"

Being impersonated is a form of flattery, but.

Not when its a desperate election year trick by a Republican conservative so far outside of the mainstream he has to try to smear people's good name.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.Today's psychadelic right-wingers have no real patriotism. They are hell bent on trying to make MY COUNTRY as sick and hateful as possible.

And that's the truth.Why not?

i will pull our troops out of iraq, allow the UN mulinational force to regain peace. and then redirect 80% of the resources being spent on the US military to the solar/wind/alternative fuels industry to ensure we are energy independent in 7 years. the remaining 20% goes towards our borders and immigration to ensure nobody comes in who isnt legal.

Rules:

1.must be willing to extort more money out of hardworking people and 'redistribute' amongst the lazy.

2.peace at any price, Neville Chamberlain was right, appeasement works.

3.if at first people don't believe your global warming/environmental lies, just come back a week later with even more scarier scenarios until people submit

4.when people disagree with your left wing (extremist) views start yelling and call them fascists.

5.at no time is the truth about islam (islam advocates terrorism) to be told

6.government is good, more government is better, total government control is best

7.religion is bad, unless it is islam, then it must get special favors

8.corporations are bad, unless they donate to the democrat party (ie Hitler's idea of letting corporations keep their business as long as they generously contributed to the Nazi party)

9.Karl Marx was a right wing radical, Castro is too conservative, Chavez is a capitalist pig

10.only minorities count

Dubya gave Saddam a time limit to stand down and Saddam didn't do it, on what grounds and evidence of WMD did Dubya based his invasion of Iraq on? Was it a justifiable cause? Does loosing 2400+ American Soldiers enough justification for this war?

Are we getting ready to send our nukes over seas and blow the hell out of the Middle East?

All that sand would make a nice glass center piece, but would aid in the complete decimation of any innocent arab who has nothing to do with our enemies; minus the fact that they are supressed under their regimes.

THE SAME SON, no less, whose death she is using as a platform to harrass our President and make the country look foolish by her babbling and disgusting comments. She is now in a divorce, again, and YES is giving up custody of another child! She has not even taken the time to get a headstone for her sons grave...though she has had time to travel to several countries and vacation in Hawaii promoting her insanity. Even hardcore liberals MUST be embarrassed by this fruity ingenuine bi**h!!! If you could choose ONE time to meet her, what would you say about all of this???

I am tired of partisan politics and big money controlling elections. It seems to me that we need to elect a president that will stand up for reform.

McCain and Feingold have led the way with campaign finance reform legislation, do you think they would be good presidential candidates?

How much is too much to spend to destroy and then rebuild a country that never was going to attack us? 1 Trillion dollars? We will certianly top 1 trillion in Iraq in the next few years at the present pace..maybe its 2 Trillion..or is it unlimited..no amount of money is too much to rebuild Iraq in our own image.
