I am tired of partisan politics and big money controlling elections. It seems to me that we need to elect a president that will stand up for reform.

McCain and Feingold have led the way with campaign finance reform legislation, do you think they would be good presidential candidates?

iamct01 - I hope he doesn't partner up with Jeb... If that is not making a deal with the devil I don't know what is... If he did that, it would be going against why is running in the first place.

marianddoc - Can you give me an example of when McCain rented out his ethics?

I really thought the only reason why he lost the primary in 2000 against is because he did not compromise his platform... Maybe I am missing something???

I have a great deal of respect for John McCain as a great American and as a war hero. However, where I used to think he'd do all right as president - now I have to wonder.

First, he kissed and made up with Jerry Falwell after some blistering attacks on God's chosen one. Falwell is just like Bush, a liar.

Then, there were his comments this past weekend on the Sunday morning news shows, or show. He stated we need to send MORE troops to Iraq. That's not a good way to win friends and influence people, not to mention trying to get support for a presidential run.

As a result, I wonder about his ability to lead - he seems to flip-flop too much on things.

Feingold on the other hand, would probably make either a good presidential or vice presidential candidate - at least he's not kissing up to Falwell or calling for more troops to be sent to Iraq to fight in Bush's war.

that should guarantee a democratic victory in November. Feingold and Kennedy are the two greatest monkey on McCain's returned top now and to this element he can not do away with the scent of siding with those 2 fool.

McCain has regularly rented out his ethics to whomever he thinks will help his cause. Also remember McCain is anti-choice on abortion. He'll NEVER get my vote.

Feingold is easily the most ethical person in Congress. We could use 534 more like him.

yes, I would for sure vote for John McCain. He seems very ethical, and willing to take a stand on issues that might be contrary to his partys position, and I admire that. he obviously has a backbone, and alot of intelligence, and is a great public speaker. He would well represent the US in the world affairs.

If I was to vote republican I might vote for McCain but not if he was running with Jeb like I think is going to happened. I can see it now, Junior telling McCain he can use their voting machines if he runs Jeb with him.
