I am boarding this one horse and he is in his stall right now. I put him out and he was out basically all morning, but now he just wants to stay inside. I think he is snoozing or resting right now, but when I left him, his left rear leg/hoof is up. Is this what all horses do when they are resting ? Do they keep one or more of their hoofs off the ground? If not, what can I do? It seems like he doesn't want to put pressure on it....should I call the owner and notify him of this?

i am boarding this horse. he is a 3 year old gelding. he is acting kind of weird. when i pet him he sort of puts his ears back and sometimes backs away from me. he is not in the grass part and just tries digging into the dirt pushed up against the barn. he uses his hoof and his muzzle. why is he doing this? also, he was eating something, i think it was grass, anyways he was like spitting out his tongue , like it was caught in the side of his mouth or something. what should I do? is this normal? he swallowed hit afterwards, but im just worried a little.

Its raining outside right now, and there was this squirrel up in a tree waving his tail in the most psychedalic way. It was flowing in an "S" shape & I was wondering why squirrels do this.

Ok I have a Polish Chocolate Buck who is 6m old and I have had him for 5 days. He came from a freind that is a breeder. They kept him with ther other bunnys in there barn so they only seen him for abit during the days and when he was at shows. I keep him and my other bunny (1y broken black doe his mom side by side cages) in my house so I see them alot all day long. Well my Chocolate the day I brought him come just fell over like 8 times off and on for a hour and when he would hit the cage it was loud and he would be almost frozen I would talk to him and pet him and he would be ok. Well that was the end of it well yesterday he was munching his timothy hay and in mid munch fell over again its so loud when he dose it I am afraid he is gonna hurt him self and he just lays there for a bit like he is in a daze. My vet thinks ear infection but he dosent have the classic signs of a ear invfection. No tiling the head or hopping in circles. he dosent do this all the time just every few days

I have a lovely big hutch for my bunnies, the upstairs is 4'4" x 18" and I need to find a cover for this part. I do not want the flimsy canvas sort sold in Pets R Us, I want a waterproof/windproof cover, preferably with some kind of insulation, to keep my adorable bunnies dry and warm in the winter weather to come. Anyone know anywhere (UK)?

I have a female guinea pig and while handling her on a white towel one day, recently, I noticed that her urine was reddish orange. I am concerned, but I don't want to take her to the vet if this is normal. Could she be in heat? Am I giving her too many carrots? Could she have a kidney stone from all of the spinach I was feeding her before? These are the questions I have been pondering... if anyone has had this experience, let me know!
