Hoover every inch of soft furnishing carefully every day, carpets chairs beds, and corners, between floorboards, tiles, everywhere. This might seem like a pain but it is the only way, apart from paying an exterminator.

try seven-dust, Adams flea spray, Triazicide ( outside only )...ummm, the Adams, you can use inside your house, not around little ones though, take them to the sitter for a day. I spray the carpets and furniture with it..What ever you decide to do...you'll need to do over again in two weeks, then two more weeks, the life cycle of the flea, from baby stage is two weeks. If after the 3rd time you spray and/or dust, you still have a problem, call a Bug Killer like Terminex......I've got 2 dogs and 2 cats...the cats NEVER go outside, but the dogs do...using the Triazicide and the Adams flea spray, I don't have fleas..

hmmm a dog is much better than a cat because when you let a cat out for a wee or something they tend to rome around with other cats catching fleas. i would say you should go to pet's at home ( a good pet store) and ask in there about good flea powders and stuff. there are these little things called flea bombs were you light them or something and leave the room so they can burn down (dnt worry they r safe) and they kill the fleas or something. i think u have to put it on a plate while it burns. anyway i hope you get rid of those nasty fleas soon. good luck x

my cat just got fleas - I pippeted them and got a flea spray from the vet - it costs about £15 you spray your house and leave for half hour then hoover and ventilate the rooms - hey presto fleas gone. It also works against dust mites and lasts 6 months.

Call your local council pest control department. for about £30 they will spray the whole house for you and it works a treat!!! I've had mine done twice and successful both times, first time when we moved in the previous owners left us fleas and second time five years later when our cat died and left them behind.

Go to a vet. clinic and ask for a flea killer for home. You want it in a can and one that will kill adult fleas, eggs and larva. It will usually work up to three months. It worked for me.

take the carpets up, outside and give them a good beating. then hoover them twice a day for a week. (after you've put em back. the only real alternative is to fumigate your home.
