Hi
Well most types of squirrels eat a similar diet with small variances between the breeds...
I would suggest if you want to feed the squirrels.. an actual feed mix in a platform feeder for them..
THey will almost anything starchy of course but many things are not good for them
Some stores will have a Squirrel mix of seed etc... if not.. You can make your own
Cracked corn, Sunflower seeds, Whole in the shell peanuts(unsalted)and reg. cheerios.. just mix it up dry and put it out, can toss unsalted unbuttered popcorn n it as well if yuo want... or some light micro wave popcorn is ok for a treat once in a while as well...
Also they LOVE P nut butter... You can Mix this together as well
Pnuut butter ( unsalted if you have it, else reg is ok),, Mix into a Jar of p nut butter
Reg Bird seed, cracked corn, and some Reg. Cheerios.. mix it up and slather on tree trunks, or put a fe globs on tree banches or even on a feeder.. flat platform type
THey will flip.. birds too
You can put left overs in container in your fridge
Good Luck..

They probably eat corn and nuts just like up north and live in trees to. Really don't know for sure about that.
