I have 3 Striped Peacock Eels. I bought them about a week ago. I have not yet seen them eat, I guess they could be eating but I don't know. Any suggestions on how to make sure they are eating. I feed frozen bloodworms, live tubifex worms, fz brine shrimp and flakes. I also don't know if they will scavenge off the bottom, however there is probably not a whole lot there as the fish they are with are pigs and eat everything in sight. Any ideas?

I'm just curious. If the animals are not pure-bred and you have no reason or plans to breed them (these plans would have to be put in writing), should you be legally required to spay or neuter them?

Just to be clear: I would never own a cat or dog without spaying or neutering it. I think it is a part of responsible pet ownership. But, there currently is no legal stance on it. What do you think?

I just dropped off one of my outside females to be spayed, I have three more to be spayed and I am really nervous about her and the others behavior when we return home tomorrow. I need some comforting, I think. This all started with two ferrel female cats and I kept two kittens, one from each mother, and placed the other kittens with good homes. But I can't continue letting them have babies every time I turn around. I live out in the country so all of my outside cats are sort of like really tame barn cats. My fear is how are they going to react to being fixed and outside. I have also heard that some tom cats may try to hurt them once they can no longer reproduce. I need some words of wisdom or someone that has been there done that. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I have a 17 year old cat who lately has been staying up all night, crying, getting in the windows, being a general nuisance. We had her fixed 14 years ago, but I SWEAR the crying sounds like she's in heat. Any ideas?

I have a 75 lb. huskey who ate about 1/2 lb of various types of chocolate for halloween last night. Does anyone know if she is at risk for getting sick? She seemed fine this morning; however, we found out too late to induce vomiting. She ate the wrapers and all so I can't be sure exactly how much she ate.

Fay Palethorpe i have just read about that wonderful pet Tess who saved your life from that monster snake on the gold coast OZ but got bitten herself. I just hope what the vet is saying is correct and she gets back to good health//and Fay treasure that little darling the rest of her life//it just shows how wonderful your pets can be when danger rears its head. Good luck sweetheart from UK

I found a dove that was left in a can of old cooking oil. It's still alive and I took it home. I tried to get the oil off with washing up liquid, but I couldn't get all of it off. Its only a young dove coz it can't fly yet but it has feathers. What can I do to help this poor creature?
