Hi, I recently saw a wonderful piece of video on the News, (ITV, I think!), which showed a lion in a cage, wrapping his big beautiful furry paws round the neck of the woman who rescued him from a circus, (where he was cruelly treated), and giving her a big hug ... I'd love to see it again, and wondered if anyone knew if it was on the net somewhere. Thanks! :)

In "The Miracle in Missouri,"why is it that every major network spins this story so that the 4+ year victim of this multiple abduction cradles almost 100% of the story line. The 4 day "victim" wasn't willing or able to contact "help" either, even though he is a straight "A" student, scout, and has scored high on the ACT test?
Both were left alone in the apartment in a very non- threatening neighborhood, ( I know it as I lived in Kirkwood / Glendale for years), had access to telephones, and could come & go at will as their abductor was gone a lot.

I personally think we should leave him & his family the heck alone, It is none of our business at all......He is going to have enough to deal with as it is, I am sure the kid has been to hel* & back...
He does NOT owe us a darn thing, we were so close to him & no one reconized him, NO one helped him, & NO ONE has the right to judge him.. He did what he had to do to survive, To keep living, & I am so sorry for him & his family, SOOOO many people saw this kid everyday & did nothing, Nothing at all to help him & I feel so bad for that, Him or his family do NOT owe the public anything at all... He should not have to explain why he did what he did to anyone but his parnets, & only god knows what this devlin guy told him, Poor kid, I hope everyone including the media leaves him alone, so he can try his hardest to put this behind him & try to have a half way normal life..................

First they lost all their colonies, now it looks like Ireland, Scotland, and Wales will finally be free of the English yoke.
Some strategists say they will lose it all within ten years time and be reduced to an insignificant and unproductive island populated by uneducated Eeastern Europeans of slavic decent. What do you think, has the sun set on the Great British Empire?

I remember that terrible day So vividly, I remember how beautiful the Morning weather was that Morning. I was cooking bacon for breakfast for my son. My husbands friend called me and said turn on the news, something terrible is happening (only 1 tower was hit). I asked him after looking at the tv for a min or two in disbelief....What is happening? He replied...I think we are under attack. Just a second went by and in real time we together saw the 2nd tower be hit on live tv....Together we were screaming...Oh My god! The worst part of that day was when I saw the tower crumble on live tv before my eyes. I felt in the bottom of my stomach that I would get sick. I fell in front of my tv...and just cried...WHY??? Why is this happening to us? To this day I will never forget that Morning. SO Beautiful.....and to end so sad.

A 28 year old mother of three died on Friday after being in a water-drinking contest on a local radio station. The person who could drink the most water without going to the bathroom would win a Wii console.

They weren't warned about the serious health dangers of drinking heavy amounts of water, the station apparently did no research to make sure it was safe. While the contest was going on a nurse called the radio station warning them that drinking lots of water all at once can be dangerous, but the radio hosts didn't listen to her. Many of the contestants got sick, this woman who came in second place died later that day from water intoxication.

Shouldn't the radio station be responsible for informing people that what they are doing is dangerous? When you offer people prizes for dangerous acts that you don't warn them is dangerous, is that ethical? Was it responsible of the hosts to blow off the nurse's warning?

Were the gloves found at OJ Simpsons wife's house women's gloves? I remember looking at the gloves when they tried to get O.J. to put them on to think they look very familar as to type and design. They were fairly narrow across the palm and looked a great deal like these designer gloves that my sister got for Christmas one year.

"Death toll mounts from Midwest ice storm
Waves of freezing rain, sleet and snow since Friday had been blamed for at least 15 deaths in Oklahoma, six in Missouri, five in Iowa, two in Texas and one each in New York and Maine."

Now I'll grant you, that's sad...but do you think that is significant enough to be called a "Death toll" or is this just another way the media enjoys scaring the sht out of everyone?
