My fiancee's gather was murdered along time ago I was trying 2 find an obituary or even the story about him from the newspapers but everything u have 2 pay 4! I do not want 2 be a member cause I only want this one person! Any ideas?

Does anyone know roughly how much taxpayer money is sent to other countries? Are there needs in this country (OUR COUNTRY) that could benefit from these dollars? Are other countries more deserving of OUR tax dollars than our own citizens? Do we need to spend money on: education, health, housing, infrastructure, environment, the young, the elderly? Hell, why am I even asking this? The answer is yes to all. The "GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD" should have no one that goes to sleep hungry at night. We should have the best schools and hospitals in the world. I am sick and tired of this and would like to see some changes. I am sick and tired of politicians who love to be viewed as saviors of the world. I am not a radical, I am a realist. Those responsible for the dispersment of funds to other countries need to look closer to home. They need not turn their backs on citizens of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have an open mind, but this is AMERICA & we're used to being spoiled: We have some of the WORLD's best, best looking, & most talented journalists , w/in our shores, & shown that we'll go beyond, to recruit 1's w/ any OR all of the above.
I liked Jennings, Rather, & Brokaw. Losing them all, around the same time, was devastating to the American news-front; they seemed credible as our nightly truth-tellers, & I don't mind admitting that I found them all good looking.
Couric, Gibson, & Nightline did that re-formatting w/ the likes of that Bashear character (a Geraldo ripoff), made me wonder -WHAT were the networks thinking? Couric looks like a member of "The Sunshine Family" doll set & for some reason reminds me of the original "Stepford Wives" -something about that glint in the eyes, and she's fluff central, I don't take her seriously; Gibson has that overhanging forehead thing going on, & just seems Goofy; & Nightline might as well be CUT. Muir, Miller, Mitchell, Vieira, O.K.???

Rene Gonzalez was the person from the Univ of Massachusetts newspaper who wrote that Tillman got what he deserved shortly after his death in Afghanistan. Rene had to go into hiding because he outraged so many people with his comments that he feared his own safety.

Can we get a petition going to demand that Yahoo put "Discussion" back in Yahoo News? I think it's completely ridiculous that they removed it. It's getting to the point where we're not even allowed to have a Constitutionally guaranteed opinion in this ever devolving country.

Buried in an article about harassment of foreign reporters in China was this:

Conditions have improved, according to two reports issued in the last week by Human Rights Watch and the Foreign Correspondents Club of China. But both reports concluded that the government has not lived up to its promise and that reporters continue to face harassment, detention and stonewalling, especially in rural areas of the country where officials are either unaware of the new rules or ignore them.

What is ALWAYS ignored, in China the central government does not have the strangle hold on the provinces and local officials like the western press assumes. That to change age old practices of harassment of the news media will not happen overnight.

The provinces in China are autonomous, in some respect even more so then in the states. That when Beijing hands down an edict or law, it does not mean the local officials are going to go lock step.

If we're always complaining about too-thin models, then why aren't magazines promoting lesser-known designers who do not use super tall, super thin models? Non-standard sized designers do exist and they need mainstream media attention.
