You are getting half the answer every time
Ante meridium and post meridium are correct (meridium is latin for meridian). When the sun is east of the meridian (runs through London) it is ante meridium (before the meridian), i.e. morning and when it has passed over the meridian it is post (after) meridium, i.e. afternoon.
When the sun is directly over the meridian it is noon. These times are GMT of course so when we are on summer time it is one hour later.
Note that ante is spelt with an 'e', so many of the answers spell it anti which means against!

"Ante-" means "before," but "anti-" means "against."

I am not sure but when I was little the teacher told us the best way to remember which was which is this
AM = After Midnight
PM = Past Mid day.
Not sure if that helps you.
