So why are pictures of Diana in that crash not allowed to be seen. All the other people who are photographed no doubt have family members who would rather not see the images of their loved ones.

Why is it that all you ever see on CNN is bad stuff? Is it really important, world shaking news that Mel Gibson made an anti-semetic remark? Is it realy and accurate portrayal of the war when all they show is soldier's dying? They never bother to show the schools we have built, to people's we've saved, or the other good things we've done. They sure as hell don't show the insurgents we've killed, or the civilians they are murdering, but CNN has no problem showing some soliders accused of rape.
What's with that?
They never ran a story about a little girl I saw over there. She was injured by a Fedayeen Sadam for accepting candy from an American. My unit took her to the hospital and saved her life. CNN never bothers showing things like that. They just show the bad things.

All Democrats do not want the US to be involved in the lebanon-Israel conflict. Some want the US to stay out of it and stop supporting Israel.

Do you agree that the News Media is not very critical of Israel involvement in the War?

I have heard about this image since 9/11, but only recently saw a photo of it. Blew me away--but is it real--untouched?

I don't know what it's like in the North America and elsewhere, but here in Europe nobody ever really talks about South America much. In the news there are always stories about Africa and Asia and Australia and North America, but South America is hardly ever mentioned. There might be a story about the rainforest or a really bad fire in a club or something every month or so, but nothing much else. Is South America just not important enough on a global scale to warrant much coverage? Or is it just ignorance on our part? Even in the evacuation stage of the Lebanon crisis, there were reports of citizens from all over being evacuated, but not once did hear about South Americans evacuating.

Does the privatisation of news, and subsequent control of it destroy any hopes of objectivity and thus weaken one of the most important estates of democratic success? Is controlled news merely a way of sending out pre-packadged thoughts and opinions, merely lights and wires in a box emitting static noise to distract people from the truth?

Over recent weeks the media seem to be continually painting Israel as the big ememy who has overeacted in this conflict. Yet the fact is that both sides continue to up the ante as Hezbollah launch more and more missiles randomly at Israeli civilians. Is it just me or is the media undereporting the Hezbollah attrocities in this conflict? Everybody seems to be critical of US munitions sent to Israel through the UK, but nobody's even asked where all these bloody Hezbollah missiles keep coming from. It's almost as if they were expecting the attacks ??
