You're right. Fox's version of 'Fair and Balanced' equates to Republican Spin/Propaganda. It's owned by Media Mogul Billionaire Rupert Murdoch who's also a mouthpiece for Tony Blair. He owns Sky and the Sun and News of the World. He supports Teflon Tone all the way. Last year Murdoch paid £550Million for MySpace, so it's a question of time before the blogs are packaged and sold to the National Enquirer or Fox for late night entertainment.Murdoch always tows the party line. President Bush and Tony Blair can be assured that Murdoch's papers/stations will back them all the way. In return he is given a free reign to publish his semi porn tabloid gossip rags and top up his millions.

They know that if they say "fair and balanced" often enough (along with other fairy tales like the media's alleged "liberal bias") people will accept it.
If they were just a right-wing mouthpiece, I wouldn't mind it so much. But they've perfected the art of the brain-wash. They put one rhetorically weak liberal on a panel with five rabid bull dogs and, wow isn't it amazing, another right wing victory -- and call that "fair and balanced." They know their arguments are full of holes so that go for the hard aggressive batter your opponent into the ground approach.
But there is hope. My father used to be a true believer but he's finally realized that U.S. Americans are being lied to constantly by their media.
Get a clue, people. You're puppets and Fox News is pulling your strings.

fox news is a white house press office because there is a good market for doing this. about half of all voters voted for bush in america. while most of the world doesnt agree with them, fox news is making good money from this market by feeding them the equivalent of republican red meat, to make em all roused up and passionate. fox news would be the patriotic, truly america news channel... fair and balanced means let liberals appear like losers they supposedly are and republicans like winners they apparently must be.
why would jerry-springer-america tune into to fair and balanced when you can get some juicy liberal-bashing delivered by attractive models and inflammatory speakers, and turn it into entertainment that panders to the religious right and republican values? its like wrestling, but sexy and more ejacated :)

Because Fox News isn't "news" - it's a political propaganda machine for the Republican Party. "Commentators" like Shawn Hannity, Bill O'Reilly and Ann Coulter are nothing more than "shouting heads" who believe they can intimidate people into accepting their points of view. Rush Limbaugh spews the same kind of hatred via his radio "talk" show where he does all the talking and no one is allowed to express a difference of opinion.
The conservative-biased media has played into the grubby, greedy hands of the Republican Party, creating a propaganda outlet that rivals that of Adolph Hitler when it comes to trying to brainwash gullible people into believing whatever toxic waste they want regurgitated.
If Limbaugh's "dittoheads" were at all intelligent, they would at least have sense enough to listen to what's being said, and evaluate it independently before automatically jumping on the Limbaugh fanfare. But, instead, they clamor for attention, demanding that they're right and everyone else is wrong, and if you don't agree with them, they'll challenge you to a fight, or they'll call you a stupid, commie liberal.
Fox News and Limbaugh have taken freedom of expression to a new low, passing off half-truths, inaccuracies, and outright lies as 'gospel' to their millions of dullardly listeners. Surely these people will have a special corner of Hell reserved just for them where they can spend their eternal damnation blaming each other for destroying our civilized world. -RKO-

Probably because the truth comes out of the White House and FOX reports the truth.
Some of the other networks report news that they make up.

They don't. They constantly have opposing viewpoints on. You just aren't used to fair and balanced coverage. The other networks tend to lean far to the left and you've fallen into the trap of just believing what you see on those programs.
