That's a nice twist. Different from blowing up airlines. I wonder if the American system of justice has finally spread to Islam.
Have they been democratized?

Would they make this big of a deal about it on the national or even the local news. No they wouldnt . Why because we just arent that important...but a woman who lived her life as a playboy playmate and then married a rich 80 yr old man .and who was known for using drugs.....yes shes really needed all this media attention...are there not enough people suffering in this world that we have run out of worthwhile stories to run on the news? Arent there children starving right here in the US? Dont we have homeless people who are dying because they have nowhere to go when the weather turns bad? Isnt that something worth working on rather than dragging a high profile death threw the freaking presses? Dont we have more to worry about?

Obviously slavery is a very henious and condemnable activity. Even though no one alive today was invovled with slavery and/or supported it the connection here is obvious. Democrats were at least astute enough to understand and apologize for something that had a disastrous and long term corrosive effect on society and its future. California democrats clearly should understand electing someone with so little understanding of the damaging effects of tax and spend economics as well the well publicized flip flops on soldier support could have on the very surivial of this nation. should also have a similar and corrosive effect. Since the effect of this election is so obvious the query here, is simple: Why havent they apologized yet?

Animals know not to create babies when food is scarce, or high levels of stress in the environment...

Yet, as humans, we still pump out children like rabbits...and those who have the least to offer(food, clothing, higher education, engagement of children) seem to be the ones who have the MOST children.

"THINKING" being sure does not equate to logical being, or even intelligent being.

You thoughts please?

-while ignoring the Republican Senaters and Congressmen who are also visiting and talking to Assad? Three Republicans, Frank Wolf, Joe Pitts and Robert Aderholt, visited with Assad the day before Pelosi, but they were not mentioned by President Bush at the Rose Garden, and do not seem to be being critisized for there actions. Why is it okay for them to go and discuss issues with Assad, but when Pelosi does it she is "being counterproductive?"

'A Christmas Story' director Bob Clark dies in LA car crash
By JEREMIAH MARQUEZ

The Associated Press

LOS ANGELES

Bob Clark, whose film "A Christmas Story" became a seasonal fixture for its bittersweet cataloguing of holiday dreams and disappointments, was killed with his son in a car crash. He was 67.

Clark and Ariel Hanrath-Clark, 22, were traveling on the Pacific Coast Highway in the Pacific Palisades when they were killed Wednesday, said Lyne Leavy, Clark's personal assistant.

Their car was struck head-on by an SUV that a drunken driver steered into the wrong lane, police said.

The driver of the other vehicle, Hector Velazquez-Nava, 24, of Los Angeles was arrested and booked for investigation of driving under the influence of alcohol and gross vehicular manslaughter. He was being held on $100,000 bail.

... we are on the brink of a new dawn?

Thinking about the film 2001 Space Odyssey, when the ape realises he can use a bone as a weapon (to get food & beat predators)...

... man has gone through that phase...

Will the next leap in our evolution be when man accepts he doesn't need weapons?

Pepsi is giving Arab organizations in this country benefits and bonuses not offered to what is considered a non-Arab business. They offer the ARA bonus programs that white or black retailers can't join because they are not of Arab descent. If a white or black retailer tries to join the ARA they are told they don't meet their criteria, but will not tell what criteria they must meet. We are not stupid like they think we are. Let's show Pepsi that we will not tolerate one more infringment on our diginity and boycott their product.

Blair has to keep his buddy happy and he would benefit from his actions after he leaves office. Seems a bit more back itching may be going down.
Bush needs and wants badly to invade Iran just like he did with Iraq. The Pentagon has already drawn up a plan of action against Iran (Bush said, it was just done as a precaution).
Isn't it time that the western world stayed the hell out of other countries affairs?
We wouldn't take kindly to those countries coming over and bossing us around.
Bush wants the oil...I'd like the world to just say: "Bush you are nolonger allowed to bully other countries, if you continue your oil supply will be cut off forever".

Ok. Who EXACTLY does Iraq belong to? That is to say, who owns Iraq? The government isn't stable enough? Ok. Fine. Four years. It's been "FOUR YEARS" and still the situation isn't stable. Soilders, Sailors, Marines, and Airmen are held accountable EVERY single day! EVERYDAY!!!! Where is the accountability on the part of the Iraqi government?! Please don't even get me started!

i forgot where i picked this up (lately), but it is a direct quote from a marine who i hope got home okay. i want to know, after you read this, what you think.

do you think that this marine is not justified in his actions?

do you now believe that all is fine and good in iraq, meaning that we have no need to be there anymore?

do you think that if we leave iraq that the insurgents will no longer perform the misdeeds that they do now?

do you think that these insurgents have any respect whatsoever even for the religious beliefs that they claim spur them on to kill their neighbor, and from MOSQUES at that?

do you think that this marine has good reason for performing the acts that he does?

should fundamentalist islamics be ignored while they think up more ways to destroy us?

A warrior will understand this, while a liberal probably will not...and a lawyer looking for a higher adjusted gross income will condemn it......

From a Marine who been there before.
