Are postage stamps going up from 39 cents

on may 14th, rates will go up from 0.39 to 0.41 cents. if you purchase the "forever stamp" you will lock in the price and keep it that way no matter how the prices rise in the future (valid for mailing letters of course).
The first forever stamps will sell for 41 cents apiece, but they won't have a price printed on them and they will remain valid for sending a letter regardless of any future rate increases.
While a forever stamp will always be valid for mailing a letter, that doesn't mean the price won't go up. If rates were to increase to 45 cents, for example, that's what a forever stamp would sell for. But stamps already purchased at a lower rate could still be used without adding extra postage.

It's going up to 41 cents and will be called the forever stamp (?). We are suppose to be able to use this stamp even after another increase for the stamps. Due out it May 2007, I think.

Yes, the postal service will be increasing the cost of the stamp.
