Animals know not to create babies when food is scarce, or high levels of stress in the environment...

Yet, as humans, we still pump out children like rabbits...and those who have the least to offer(food, clothing, higher education, engagement of children) seem to be the ones who have the MOST children.

"THINKING" being sure does not equate to logical being, or even intelligent being.

You thoughts please?

You should look up rattus norvegicus and columba livia, if you don't think animals make babies when food is scarce.

There are a lot of places to point blame. Starting with parents, teachers, schools, government. The Break Down of the Family. The Womens Movement. The Sexual Revulotion of the 60's & 70's. Lack of Church going and having belief's in God.

The only reason animals don't have more when food is lacking is some of there bodily functions just plainly shut down during those times.

Different animals have different levels of intelligence and this is also true of humans. most animals, in general, go purely on instinct and we humans share this trait. However, traditional value systems can re-route activity in the brain as we re-train our thinking over time. Animals cannot do this.

I think that for the most part, you are right.
It brings to mind a line from a song in which I can't remember the name (Flagpole Sitter, maybe?) but the guy sings, "...only stupid people are breeding"

We plan our trips, and dinners.
We may know what we are having for lunch.
We schedule doctor and dentist appointments.
We plan our gardens and design our houses.
In short our lives are full of plans.

Sadly however, many fail to plan for parenthood.

Religion and failure to use contraceptions muttles the issue, as is the use of sex to relieve stress.

There is no real intrinsic difference between the species of ape calling itself "homo sapiens" and any other animal. Our main problem is that most of us think that we are something different and better.
