Obviously slavery is a very henious and condemnable activity. Even though no one alive today was invovled with slavery and/or supported it the connection here is obvious. Democrats were at least astute enough to understand and apologize for something that had a disastrous and long term corrosive effect on society and its future. California democrats clearly should understand electing someone with so little understanding of the damaging effects of tax and spend economics as well the well publicized flip flops on soldier support could have on the very surivial of this nation. should also have a similar and corrosive effect. Since the effect of this election is so obvious the query here, is simple: Why havent they apologized yet?

Oy. So you're holding ALL of us Republicans responsible for what Congressional Republicans did while they were in office, and you have cried foul every time somebody has spoken against Reid, Pelosi, Dodd, Frank or Schumer, and now that the dirt under their rugs has FINALLY got some well-deserved exposure, you're leaping off the sinking ship??? Spare me the antics. You have been walking around here, beating your chest like a rooster now that the Democrats are in power, but now you want to pick and choose which ones you had anything to do with. Give me a break. Now, how about this argument -- I did not vote for Bush in the 2000 primary - I voted for Pete Wilson. Does that absolve me of having supported what Bush did after I was forced to vote for him over Al Gore and John Kerry because he became my ONLY choice?

My, the liberal democraps get more pathetic each day don't they. There is NO need to apologize for slavery. It was perfectly legal at the time, and as you say, no one here was around back in the good old days anyway. The only idiots who feel compelled to apologize for such a thing are the emotionally and mentally weak and feeble. They have a need to feel 'Accepted'. I got a clue for them, stop acting like *******!!

I live in New Haven, CT so I would apologize for Bush, but then again he never admits he was born here, so I'm waiting for Texas to apologize.

I'm waiting.

And please, you're talking about tax and spend economics, what about cut taxes and spend economics? That leads to historically high deficits.

Bush supporters should apologize to the rest of us for the fiscal disaster we're in.

they're going to wait a while and see how things sort out because they know what you say is true but fear there will be infinitely more collateral damage from her tenure - they want to get it all at once.
She's just 2 heartbeats from the presidency you know.
