This year, next or never? Do you think Bush will really do as he says, or someone else (2009 Prez) will have to pick up where he left off? And what about our troops, who have to do what they are told by our government? Is everyone as sick of this as I am?

In the final step required to make the phase-out of analog TV broadcasts official, President Bush (on Feb 8, 2006)signed the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005, which contains legislation stating that on February 17, 2009, all TV broadcasters nationwide must switch off their analog broadcasts. After that date, televisions that rely solely on analog over-the-air television--typically delivered via rabbit-ear antennas--will go dark.(http://reviews.cnet.com/4531-10921_7-6436458.html)

I support our goals in Iraq and yes I plan to enlist in the Army when I graduate high school this year. It seems to me that the anti US elements in the Middle East would have a stake in the outcome of the presidential elections next year and would want to fund the party who would withdraw American troops from Iraq. Does anyone else agree?

Do the Japanese seriously expect the rest of the world to believe they are doing research, when whale meat turns up in food stores in their country? Whaling is illegal and was banned in 1996 but the Japanese get around this by pretending to do research. No research findings have been released in all this time. And now a whaling ship is crippled off the coast of Antarctica, with a potential environmental disaster just waiting to happen, due to the huge quanities of fuel on board. All this because of a minority of Japanese want to eat whale (most japanese are not even remotely interested in eating whale meat). What are your thoughts?

Reason i am asking is because of all the anna Nicole news coverage. i think there are more important things to cover then her. I was also very surprised that CNN and MS NBC contributed so much of their coverage to her and i am not including FOX. For me the FOX news is all about entertainment and ratings and that is why i am not including them.
