Since there is violence in the major urban areas of the United States how can Democrats claim violence in urban areas of Iraq is civil war?

Doesn't that mean the United States is in a civil war?

Doesn't that mean the Democratic leadership in the majority of Urban areas has failed and their failed policies have resulted in civil war?

Apparently few of you walked to work through the Herman's Gardens projects in Detroit. Few of you have lived in the "Ghetto" or on the street, yet a lot of you are willing to tell me about "how it is".

I challenge anyone who thinks that the United States is safer than Iraq to take a long walk through the "low income" areas of the United States. I challenge you to live there, walk to and from work through the worst projects in your city.

In other words, I challenge you to live in it instead of talk about it before you go telling me how it is.

Most urban areas are and have been under Democrat control for tens of years.

Most Democrat controlled Urban areas have had to deal with the title "murder capital of the world".

So tell me, if Democrats are in control and can't stop violence by American's in major cities how can they stop or reduce terrorism?

our civil war takes place mainly on the wrong side of the tracks, so why care.

Call me naive if you will, but I am convinced that the vast majority of our elected leaders from all political parties around the United States are strongly concerned with reducing crime and violence at home.

To assume that since there is violence in our cities, leadership has failed is not a logical assumption.

To connect that (slightly sarcastic) assumption to the current violence in Iraq is ludicrous.

Do we have to connect everything to political party politics or can we all figure out a way to provide the right resources and decision making to both domestic and foreign relations?

we don't know about low income areas yet you do? and you also know about iraq? have YOU been to iraq?

does any act of violence mean that the area is in civil war? you're obviously not very intelligent, you must be a rebulican, a civil war is not merely a single act of violence. if that was the case, every country in the world would be in 'civil war' because every country has had an act of violence committed in it.

by the way, if you're so supportive of the iraq war, why don't YOU go over there

Yeah, Baghdad is having just a little gangsta turf war, wouldn't you say? And there are so many car bombs going off in inner city America, in the supermarkets and malls. So many Baptists are kidnapping and assassinating Methodists, who in turn behead hundreds of Episcopalians. The death toll is thousands of casualties a day here in the U.S. I'm terrified of going to work downtown because of the civil war happening all around me.

If you don't think Iraq is in civil war, perhaps your cranium is lodged too firmly in your lower orifice. This has nothing to do with Democratic response to this gawd awful screw up in Iraq, nor addressing violence in inner city and rural America. Perhaps if just a fraction of the funds used in this war were given to fund education, job opportunities and police forces in the U.S., violence here wouldn't be such a problem.

The last time I checked there were not two factions inflicting heavy causalities on each other and law enforcement in any American cities. Also, I'm sure that I would have heard of the use of high explosives in an American city.

Sir,

Why do you say that Democrats don't want to stop violence in US cities? Were you at their meeting when evey Democrat agreed to this plan?

Anyone else there with you? Did you really hear of this plan or was it radioed to you through your Aluminium Beanie?

Yes, I can read your thoughts, right now ...

Demoncrats and I'll admit some Republicans don't give a rats ars about violence. They just want that precious seat in the Senate or the House to plant their cheeks in and do nothing.

I agree with you. I also feel if both parties put the same effort in solving America's problems, as they do finding dirt on each other.....then many problems would be solved.

Liberals love criminals. Just look up the Warren Court and ACLU for your proof on that.
