Yes,it changed a lot of things for Israel...Israel was recognized in the 1967 borders,that way taking more land then it should have...For Palestinians nothing has changed,at least nothing good happened to them...
So of course Hamas doesn't wan to recognize Israel...they learned from the past...

Clinton had Israel give Arafat 99% of what he wanted and Arafat walked away from the table. The house arrest was for not stopping the terrorist bombings.

What do you mean by acknowledged the question is sort of ambiguous and your grammar and world placement is inappropriate. Israel is a recognized state, but that's the problem. No one wants them to be recognized.
