Today begins the Year of the Pig, according to the Chinese 12 year cycle. This is a major holiday in China; many people get 2 weeks off work, and there are many elaborate celebrations. But the Chinese government this year has banned of pig images on TV advertisements, out of respect for Islam.
Why do you think China is doing this?

also isnt obvious that china and russia have teamed up with iran?? they worked really hard to get sanctions away from iran. not to mention china has a multi-BILLION investment with iran. russia has been helping iran with there missile system.

also if you throw in islamic attacks, pakistan,afganistan,yemen,kuwait,phillipeans,egypt,turkey,and thialand.
are we at world war 3 and know one is willing to admit it?? whats your take

Ok, so there's shootings in London, car bombs in Bahgdad, suicide bombings in Pakistan, helicopter crashes in Afghanistan, and god only knows what else in this self destructing world we live in. How sad I am at these pitiful human traits. But you wanna know what really got up my nose from reading the Sunday papers this morning? It's the fact that some young oik who has managed to get some talent of kicking a football round a pitch, and yet he is paid £25,000 (yes, twenty five THOUSAND pounds) a WEEK by his old premiership club, even though he now plays in the Championship league. Above all the human self destruction, we got to put an end to this OBSCENE money being paid to (by and large) self righteous, pompous, egotistical, selfish (I could go on) T W A T S.Sky tv, ticket prices, greedy agents, super rich no-marks - ALL OF YOU, IT'S GOT TO STOP NOW. I'm on £22,000 per YEAR, wife, 2 kids, mortgage, car. You lot don't know you're effin' born. There now - that's off me chest.

i think any religion thats says you should kill people should be banned. I have noticed the muslims answer is always to kill people many people have been killed just for using there human right to express an opinion. I watched dispatches and was horrified at what was being said in the mosques this religion says you should hit women and kill gays it is a threat to the free world.

I see that the BBC are showing a new series of the Conspiracy Files on BBC2 this Sunday evening at 9pm and they are to look into the claim that 9/11 was orchestrated not by Islamic terrorists but by the US government.

Surely this claim cannot be true?

Wouldn't it make more sense to create a small neighborhood say at a corner of four square blocks, surround it with a wall, allow no one to enter or leave, and bring in food supplies to them, rather than allow people to head into open markets where terrorists can set off powerful bombs? The military can check out each person to make sure they are not a terrorist. Make-shift schools can be built. Mosques, too. . As they make a neighborhood 'secure' they could expand. This seems like a safer alternative versus seeing 70 to 150 innocent people killed each week. Why hasn't the U.S. military considered this? At this point, allowing people to walk around is not an option any longer. It's too dangerous. With a small compound, they might better secure it from rock and grenade attacks, too. Granted, this might smack in the face of Democracy U.S. style, but shouldn't life be more than flag-waiving politics? And can't a defense be divised against mortors? And who says it has to be a ghetto?

Okay, I live in Norman, Oklahoma and I work near the football stadium (Go Sooners). One gameday in 2005, we were working and heard something really loud. We went outside and came to the conclusion that it was fireworks. When I drove home, there was yellow tape covering the entrance to the stadium. Later that night, I would learn through local news that there was a suicide bomber. He was living with two Pakistani roommates, and might have done this in the name of Islam. I will attach a link which contains a few other links, but this really happened. My question is did the bomb go off early? Was he trying to gain entry into the facility to murder people? Was he going to wait until the game ended? Or did he just want to kill himself for the attention. And WHY WASN"T THIS COVERED BY MAJOR NEWS? IS THIS NOT SOMETHING PEOPLE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT?

was playing- two guys from a group called Air Supply was hawking a CD collection called soft rock hits by TIME LIFE. I was horrified. Are these guys the Siegfried and Roy of soft rock? They were in a living room drinking a huge pitcher of lemonade laughing and oohing and aahing about the virtues of soft rock. It was bad. they are attacking you with their poisonous smoke. I see no difference in a person smoking in public and a person punching you in the stomach. It is a way of atacking people while pretending they are not. The very act of smoking is also littering. Have you ever watched a person smoke in public? They are always flicking their dirty ashes and throwing their butts all over the place. Thank God the tide is turning against these lunatics. Las Vegas has tough new rules almost every where now. It has been stated that within two years smoking will not be allowed in casinos either. I am against govt. control on almost everything except in cases where people harm each other. Are there any groups I can join to further the cause of banning cigarettes in all public places?

Is it safe to admit brainwashed individuals of any culture into our countries? Do you want your children to socialise with such people?
