Not evil just deluded like all other individuals who believe in primitive, superstitious religious garbage.
They ought to try reading Richard Dawkins' excellent book The God Delusion. It will show them the truth!

More people die in the name of religion than any war man can create. But it isn't god than gives religion a bad name. Unless you follow a darker side then the god of your religion is good, just like allah, buddah and the christian gods across the board, they don't advertise killing as being a way to get point with them either. The problem as with all religious writting is its open to interpritation. Its used to justify and explain, when thats probably not what it meant at all. If your faith is so strong then is doesn't matter what anyone else thinks or says about your religion.
Personally I think its a culture clash that's the problem. I'm a chritistian so I can only really comment on this from one side, the bible was written by monks in favor of whom ever was commisioning it at that time. Although it states to treat other as you would be like to be treated your self, up untill a 100 years ago it was still okay for a husband to hit his wife in the UK. Gays still get picked on and women still put down but what a long way we've come. If you raise a child to believe their heart is on the right hand side of their body instead of the left, they will believe you and will argue the toss with anyone who disagrees. This is just like religion. Its called condishioning Look outside your window, its everwhere...

There are no questions that should be banned except for the ones that are posted to create problems. If you are serious and want to know, then your question is valid. If you posted this question just to see if you could get a rise out of thoughtless, irrational people, then your question should be removed. Only you know the answer.
To answer your question - I think you need to research your question and find the answer yourself. I do not believe the Koran advocates violence any more than the Bible does. In fact if you read the Bible, there are parts that are VERY violent and considered barbarous by todays standards.
I was raised a catholic but do not necessarily subscribe to any religion and believe that the Bible is a good "guide" to living life, but common sense should be the order of the day.
Use this to guide you - The only thing you have to remember is to treat people the way that you would like to be treated. If you can do that, everything else seems to fall into place.

You have to look at the context. In the old testament and to a degree the new testament in the bible wife beating and killing of gays is also encouraged.
That was the way life in the middle east was 2000 years ago.
Some extremist Muslims still want life to be that way and they are the kind you saw on TV.Most Muslims are more liberal and modern than this.

Are Protestants evil for having the IRA? Are Southern state Americans evil for having the KKK? Are Northern Spanish people evil for having the ETA? etc.. etc... etc... I believe (shoot me down if I'm being naive here - pun not intended) but it is a sad thing that you ALWAYS get a minority of religious fanatics that outweigh the belief of the majority any one particular cult, sect, religion whatever. I call it the "human decease" and until we shaft each other and blow ourselves off the surface of this precious planet, we won't be satisfied! The ants will truly inherit the earth sooner than we think at this rate.

I don't think their evil. Some Americans think the answer to problems is to kill people-what do you call Death Row? Also, Muslims have had those traditions for centuries. You can't blame them for just up and changing it because another country doesn't abide by it. I'm not a Muslim, but I do understand. I do not agree with their standards of living at all, but what can any of us do? Kill them all? No, just let them go. I'm pretty sure we have customs they don't like. Such as, women walking around without anything to cover their hair and gay people. Many Muslims each year leave their home countries because of abuse and the fear of being married off to thier family members and others they don't love. Muslims are definitely not evil, they just have different customs. Same as catholics, baptists, and vegans and we do not consider them evil, do we?

Well first of all , saying that Muslims are evil is an opinion and is not racist ,as Muslims are not a race. I have not seen pictures of Christians holding banners saying' behead the unbelievers', You don't see any Muslims condemning violence against Christians. So I think on the whole Muslims are evil.
By the way Hitler was not a Christian , he was an atheist who had leanings towards Satanism.

No, they're not evil. The Koran expresses discontent with non-believers, but it depends on who reads it and how they interpret it. Anybody with common sense (most muslims) who have read the Koran won't take it word for word on killing other secular religons, but it's the extremists who are the bad apples of Islam who go around blowing themselves up (and other things) thinking they will go to heaven. If they just developed some respect for others (this goes for US policy too) and not kill to solve problems, then we wouldn't have this question.
I wish that all people can have some kind of middle ground to respect each other and not say who is right and wrong.

Each sect of Religions have their own Radicals, the American Republicans sure do rant away a lot from their actions and news reports (FOX). Timothy McVeigh was a Republican, and so was the BTK serial killer from what I know. I'm British myself, living in London....This what the general consensus of Republicans consist of over here in the UK.
