who signed the petition on road pricing, his way of putting the frighteners on the signatories.
I think it was a daft thing to have signed, as he will probably send all the details of those signing to the police so that they can check up on them.

Lizzie, yes I think we should all be very worried, things are happening in this country that are very disconcerting. We are spied on and tabs are kept on us ,phone calls are monitored by GCHQ, as is this site. As one of the signatories to the petition , I could kick myself for giving them another way to track me . And it is no argument to say'if you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear'.

I think this is wonderful news! I can now look forward to making lots of new friends from: MI.5, The Met Police Protection Squad, Labour Party H.Q's offering me a Peerage if I send them a donation, plus when they sell this very large e-mail address list to insurance company's, Banks etc. lots of junk in my spam box:
Then of course when the C.I.A.get hold of the list either my U.S.A entry-Visas will be cancelled or if I'm are really lucky be transferred upon arrival in the States to a free all expenses paid 3 year holiday in "GUATANAMO BAY"

In his usual autocratic way, he will lecture us on why HE thinks it is right to go ahead! But he WILL ignore us!
I think your last bit about sending our details to the police is way off. That kind of stuff cannot happen. Yet! Maybe in a year or so if New Labour are still in power. If they get voted in, Big Brother will be here with a vengeance!

I signed... I'm proud to have signed and I think I am already taxed to the point where my life is uncomfortable to live. Why should I pay more? I am in a business where my car is absolutely necessary and I get little financial reward for my job (of which I am taxed on my wages) I pay tax on my fuel, I pay tax on my car, I pay tax on my clothes and shopping. I even pay tax on my tampax! My Dad died recently and inheritence tax is a joke. Tony Blair does not frighten me - he just makes my life a misery.

I hope we can all click on the rely button and tell him he's going to lose our vote. Public transport must first be improved before he starts road charging. Congesstion charging was meant to put money into improving the transport system, but my rail card goes up by more than inflation every year - its just another stealth tax.

Well presumably he's spending the government - ooops - our tax money doing so. And he's definately opening up the discussion on whether or not the government is keeping databases on everyone (circa identity cards etc). So he's rather opened himself up for some stick...

i think mr blair is bringing in these measures to make us accept a lesser alternative i am very apposed to the introduction of paying by the mile to use the roads inuk . this is just another tax to be paid by the british motorist.
