well actually not ALL the Iraqis are protecting the insurgents. Only the Sunnis. At first the insurgents tried to fight the US troops, that wasnt working too well so they started attacking the Shiites to provoke a civil war. That has been a LOT more effective. Shiite death squads with US military training are now taking retribution on the Sunnis with the result being chaos and civil war. Iraqis do have freedom now, unfortunately it is the freedom to kill each other and there is little the US can do about it.

A lot of the Iraqi people figure they are fignting for their freedom against invaders who have taken over and destroyed their country-in other words, the US.

Because they are stupid... They dont understand democracy and never will. No matter how much money we throw at them they will continue to be backwards like their entire region.....
