Detectives said on Wednesday that a man wanted for questioning over the murder of a female police officer could have fled the country disguised as a Muslim woman wearing a full veil.

Mustaf Jama, 26, is thought by police to have escaped to his native Somalia at the end of last year after passing through security checks at Heathrow Airport wearing a niqab and using his sister's passport, according to newspaper reports.

Asked whether Mustaf Jama had used a full Muslim veil to evade checks, a spokesman for West Yorkshire police said: "It's a possibility. He could have been wearing a pantomime horse outfit as well. But until we get him, we won't know for sure."

How foolproof is the present 'passport' system?

Are people wearing a niqab/veil just allowed to pass through without any checks?

If this is true, why can, just anybody NOT claim to be a muslim & use this system, just to avoid delay at airports?

Am I the only one out there who thinks that a woman should spend her 21st birthday at the bar partying? What was the big deal with the Miss USA, she did what any 21 year old amircan girl would do, and if she didn't she wouldn't be american. I don't think she has anything to apologize for. What do you think?

He was on the television before and nothing he said made sense. By "sense", I mean, literally...He is not speaking in a language that I understand. Sure, on the surface, it appears to be English, but the words he has strung together don't even qualify as sentences nor do they express an idea or thought in a manner that English speaking people can understand. His speech is a series of jumbled, simple, incomprehendable ideas that do not seem to be communicating anything of relevance.

I have heard enough ignorance for one day on Yahoo! Answers. Please answer the question that I have posed.
DOES GEORGE BUSH HAVE ANYTHING RELEVANT TO SAY? If so, what is it? What exactly is he trying to tell the American people and those listening to him today?

I don't have a political agenda. I observe what is presented and I come to a conclusion. Based on what I saw today and in previous speeches, Bush is an uneducated, drug damaged moron.

I am stunned. I knew that they had not been treated well but was shocked at just how badly these people had been affected, and are still affected by the aftermath.
Obviously this is no longer 'news' so we don't hear about it.
I'm also just a little surprised that the number one reason Bush gets slated is about Iraq, when in reality the way he's treated his own people is dispicable. Seriously upsetting viewing. Anyone else see?

I was in Wal-Mart the other day to buy a coffee grinder.

4 were available:3 MADE IN CHINA, 1 MADE IN INDIA...

Needless to say, I cannot purchase a product made in a 3rd world country, with a 1st world price, and selling out the American consumer.

If I have to spend an extra 5-10 dollars to find something made in America, Germany, France, Canada, then I'll buy it.

Anyone else feel strange buying stuff Made In China?

Do you think we should bring all of our troops home?

Or, do you think we should try to "win" this war?

Explain, please.

The White House keep pumping it out. Last month Bush said that we were winning in Iraq. Now he says that we are not winning, but we are not loosing. How long will it take for him to admit that all those young kids are dying for nothing?

So a murder suspect may have fled wearing a veil :

Police seeking a man over the murder of Pc Sharon Beshenivsky are considering the theory he may have fled the UK dressed as a veiled Muslim woman.

Reasonable to suppose, I guess

However, a howl of protest has gone up from those who make it their object inlife to create difficulties, that this suggestion is unfair..

Is it?

I don't think so

Lets just say i am a bit dissappointed after watching the "teaser" trailer:

http://www.livefreeordiehard.com/

John McTiernan couldnt direct this one since he is facing jailtime. Instead they have used a second rate director who has just used the rhetoric Hollywood Blockbuster formula and made absolutely nothing special. It looks like every other action film released over the past 5 years; identikit production features with big, OTT, completely unbeleivable CG SFX.

After seeing this tralor i thought:

1. It in no way feels like a Die Hard film; there are too many fancy SFX.

2. Where the hell is McClane's trademark vest?

3. Why does he now look like an organised SWAT team member; the appeal of the DH films is that he is just a "regular" guy.

4. The supporting cast seems ****; not very famous (which is good), but already seem to be trying too hard.

Is this film going to be a Terminator 3 or Alien Resurrection?? In other words, sh*t???

While our great leader, Bush, has been distracted settling an old score with Saddam, the tiny country of N Korea has been busy building WMD's. Their people don't realize that the Korean war has been over for decades because they have been completely isolated from the rest of the world. They have been brain-washed by their volatile & dangerous leader, whom they worship as if he were a god, that the US is an evil empire that must be eradicated. How do you suppose our government is handling this, and what do you think can be done to prevent an attack?
Or do you think N Korea will just be "The Mouse That Roared"?

I could not believe what I heard on the news this morning. If this claim is true then it is wake up call for airport procedures - not only did the person not get their identity checked but they were not even the right gender!!

I think its disgusting as this could have potentially been a terrorist freely boarding a plane with no questions asked. If they (terrorists) hadn't thought of this before then they will now and I don't feel protected at all from any threats like this.

What does everyone else think about this??

Interesting to see that it is not the western world who suffers most from terrorism. Killings in Iraq, Palestina etc ....

It shows what kind of people we are dealing with doesnt it?

Some heritage class trees are just downed, I can't see any reason not to erect some of them, helicopters could do it, and there can be public funding for this. They can lift tremendous loads, so why not get a logging outfit to stand a few giants back up... just because we are have evolved and are human beings.
