Some heritage class trees are just downed, I can't see any reason not to erect some of them, helicopters could do it, and there can be public funding for this. They can lift tremendous loads, so why not get a logging outfit to stand a few giants back up... just because we are have evolved and are human beings.

O.K., I was following what you were saying until you got to the part "just because we are evolved and are human beings." It got a bit vague there.

But anyway, the trees would most likely not be able to re-root. When they topple they suffer quite a shock. The bigger the tree, the least likley it can be saved.

There are a lot of beautiful trees in Stanley Park. But, I don't think they can be replanted (even by helicopter) once they fall over, even if we are evolved human beings. The short answer is no- the trees won't start growing again.

the trees would not live after more than 24 houres with their roots exsposed to the air. if you could lift it back fast the tree only has a fourty percent chance to live.
