Am I the only one out there who thinks that a woman should spend her 21st birthday at the bar partying? What was the big deal with the Miss USA, she did what any 21 year old amircan girl would do, and if she didn't she wouldn't be american. I don't think she has anything to apologize for. What do you think?

The issue goes to "image", the Miss USA is a business and negative notoriety loses viewers and decreases TV ratings. Any regular 21yr old can behave how they want but once you accept a title like Miss USA then there's rules of conduct. Go here and see (pics) why they recently stripped Miss Nevada, Katie Rees from her title.

The report I saw said she was partying before she was 21, not on her 21st birthday. But I agree, she doesn't have anything to apologize for, except that she shouldn't have been so public about it. She is supposed to be somewhat of a role model, I guess.

Actually she is also going into rehab for her 21st birthday. Not exactly a role model for young women is she? There's far more involved there than a night or two out on the town. Sounds more like a small town girl who got swallowed up by the big city lifestyle. I do hope she gets her life back on track.
