Nope. Even as a kid, I thought it was rather pointless. I still don;'t understand the logic behind thinking that the strength of character required to break a bad habit or begin a good one, will suddenly be upon you with the arrival of a new year.
If it really worked that way, no one would be talking about how long it took to break them, and Goodwill would not be a great place to find barely used exercise equipment right around April!
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year anyway!

The only resolution I make is to not make any resolutions. It seems to be the only one I've ever been able to keep.

I've decided to try to quit smoking after new years. I don't usually make resolutions at this particular time of year but I hope that this time I will manage it.

I make resolutions, but not necessarily in the new year. recently i decided to tackle my road rage! i don't literally get full on road rage but i do get incredibly wound up - recently had a standoff with a brand new Freelander, she wouldn't back up, i wouldn't back up etc., she eventually did back up, so a small victory for me but, i spent the entire journey wound up about it, ranting and raving to myself. nowadays i do most of the backing up and yesterday, whilst waiting in a car park for a space only to have some old biddy muscle in and knab the space i was waiting for i calmly drove off and waited for another - it was cool. What's yours going to be this year?

Apparently it takes 28 days to kick in a habit.
Happy 2 say i've completed 3/6 of mine last year!
