This is not saying that there will be. We are going a UN role play and the person playing the US wanted one of the resolutions to be that the UN supports the establishment of nuclear power plants. I'm Indonesia...Any ideas??

Hypothetically, if new evidence surfaced that argued that O.J. Simpson was innocent, beyond doubt, would people believe it or has america made up its collective mind?

I know he can't be tried again, but what do you think?

This was in the Daily Mail so I accept the paper has possibly skewed the story to fit their political stance but an unemployed man has fathered 15 children, lives with his wife AND mistress (ok, the women are idiots - not so much his fault. All I can say is that he must be amazing in bed). They are BOTH pregnant again and they receive benefits in excess of £500 a week.

They want to move to a bigger house and the council cannot move them immediately. They quoted this man as saying 'I'm really ashamed of what's happening. I think this country is going down the pan' (because the council wouldn't move him!!!).

My politics are left of centre but does anyone else think this is just obscene? I'm interested if anyone can offer even one word in his defence.

I read this Kevin Sites story The Rape of the Congo and it was horrible and several other stories just as bad. I'm white but I really wonder if it is because they are black that not many people seem to care. I hope not.
What if anything can be done to get our congress to care?

MORONIC COMMENTS REGARDING CONSPIRACY THEORIES PLEASE REFRAIN: Here is a quote from the WHITE HOUSE website. While not actually committing to it, he is alluding to the use of explosives in the 9/11 attacks.

GEORGE W. BUSH: "That is valuable information for those of us who have the responsibility to protect the American people. He told us the operatives had been instructed to ensure that the explosives went off at a high -- a point that was high enough to prevent people trapped above from escaping."

To those who actually think that a building can fall in it's own footprint with absolutely no angle to the fall and all this at a speed faster than freefall, I just say have happy dreams and keep on taking your happy pills and ignore the real world around you.

VIENNA (Reuters) - It took 25 firefighters, his wife and a son to roll Lulu the cow off Austrian farmer Leopold Zeilinger after she fell on him.
When Zeilinger discovered the 1,764-pound cow was too sick to stand up for milking, he used a winch to suspend her in the air. Part of the gear broke and Lulu toppled onto him, the daily Krone reported Wednesday.
Zeilinger suffered several broken bones and was airlifted to a hospital.
There was no word on Lulu's fate.

Why is this guy trying to milk a sick cow? The cow could have virus running in its system or have mad cow disease. The guy deserves to get crushed. They should put him in jail. Disgusting. I am going to switch to soymilk from now on.

I mean, before it was a categoric NO, but now it seems that they are admitting the possiblity (certitude if you ask me) that explosives were involved in the WTC freefall-speed demolitions. That kind of demolition takes weeks if not months of planning - you can't just set a bomb in a steel building and expect it to crumble! At least it will topple over, not fall in it's footprint. WTF????

Hi not wanting to harp on again about this but the fact is it seems we have forgotton about this threat because we have had summer etc and flu is never mentioned then, but it is still killing people recently in Indonnesia and they are even more worried that it is going to mutate to spread human to human just like in 1928 and kill millions as it did then (more than the world war one in fact), as it can now spread from birds to cats its a matter of time before it mutates and spreads human to human. (anyone who thinks this is media hype needs a wake up call - our government has some serious contingency plans as does everyone else) I am really worried about it and I know people say Oh who cares etc etc but seriously this threat is real and a lot of people would die and I just wondered what everyone else thought. Am I the only one genuinely really worried!!!???

Our forefathers and grandfathers fought to make britain great. We have given language, engineering, medicine to most of the world.
For a thousand years we have defended our shores against the hordes.
Now look at us ...broken and bleeding. The coffers arent empty, govt has borrowed heavily and raided our pensions to finance the buy-a-vote spending spree. We have to watch everything we say in case the thought police are listening.Isnt this what our grandfathers fought against.?
Blair sold our country to islam for a few poxy votes so he could drag out his miserable dictatorship just a litle longer.
The nativity is offensive, the union flag, the flag of st george, freedom of speech is restricted to the internet and your boss at work is a muslim with half your skills leapfrogged into position because of political correctness.
I dont know about you, but I will be ashamed to meet my grandfather in heaven if we dont make a stand for what he fought for.
lets be british again. spread the word.

We pull out. A lot of Muslim on Muslim action. Lots of dead Mujahadeen and their supporters. When the dust settles, we go back and do a deal with the winners.

when he was first elected people were saying that he was one of the hostage takers at the American embassy in Teheran in 1979. then all that speculation suddenly went away. Did they shut up because it would just be way too embarrassing for the U.S. government if they had to deal with a former hostage taker as the President of Iran?

Mental health row set to reopen

Mental health campaigners are concerned
Controversial laws allowing people with untreatable personality disorders to be detained, even if they have not committed a crime, are to be revived.
The draft Mental Health Bill was axed in March amid much opposition.

But some of the key proposals are to be retained in a forthcoming bill promised in the Queen's Speech which will update the 1983 Mental Health Act.
