Target stores have banned the people with their bells collecting for the Salvation Army! They did donate 1 million to the SA, but the SA say they usually make 9 million!
This is bad, they don't bother anyone!
Boycot Target! I am going to!

The Salvation Army actually DOES help those in need. It isn't a religious group who just puts money in their own pockets! They help US! Gad, I hope you who think they should be boycotted never need their help! But, if you do, they will help you regardless!

Of course Target has the right to prohibit the Salvation Army from collecting for the needy on their property. And we have the right not to shop at Target.
Not long ago a mall near where I live did the same thing, but public pressure made them change their mind.

Some of the people here were angry with Target for supporting a religious group that helps society, but have not said a thing about the faith-based government decisions ( deny stem cell research, give money to churches to help them with their missions and "good deeds" ) - people, your values are all screwed up. Oh yeah, this is the USA. It is okay for the government to be religious but not okay for the SA bellringers to collect $ outside Target - you people make me hurl.

As a private organization, they have ever right to allow or disallow such things on their property.
To those who say that the Salvation Army "pushes" religion, you're out to lunch. I've never seen a religion that was less out to prolsetyze than Salvation Army.
They are a religion that is all about service, never mention their religion when helping, and I've never seen them push religion on ANYBODY.
Here's an interesting thought. Many people have heard of the Salvation Army... how many know where one of their churches is?
In any event, If a business doesn't want them there, that's their right.

I hadn't heard that news...if it is true it is terrible. The Salvation Army is one of the first responders to disasters, big and small. I remember them out in the freezing cold serving coffee and donuts to herds of people standing in line outside of the State Unemployment Office during the recession in the 1970's. In my ex's family there were three generations of unemployed bread winners at that time. This is terrible news, if true. I would boycott that store....for their indescretion toward the needy.

Walmart tried to do that once, store sales dropped off, and the public complained so loud, that Walmart reversed their decession.
Man, the sights and sounds of the Christmas season, are a beautifull time. Yah, boycott all places that try to silence it.

Hey - why should they allow anyone to push religion at a private business?
The answer is to support Target and boycott the Salvation Army.
Another prime example of Christian extremism!
