First, you are always welcome to write or visit your Senator or Congressman. The staff in the office usually enjoy when reasonable constituants stop by. If i have a question, I just drop in the office and fill out a question or opinion form. I almost always recieve a personalized response.
And not that I would encourage you to do this, but we are always welcome to hold a rally or protest to raise public awareness. I myself have organized rallies and protest on other issues of concern to me, including one to Support our Troops.
Second, we are no longer in an active 'war', we are helping to protect the new & fragile democraticy elected government. Without our help, radical extremists would take over and the violence that is currently in the streets would be worse. The threat is real, and I would have you look into the doings of Pakistan's A.Q. Khan. With their successfull detonation of fussile material and sharing of all their data with extreme governments, it is no longer a question of how many years, but instead, how many months. Radical oil rich governments are of the biggest concern because they have the money needed to develop weapons faster. We cannot live on a divided planet, so the only answer is to help establish stable democracies around the world, starting with those with the resources to attack abroad. Democracies do not war with other democracies.

Here are two links, one for Congress so you can find your Representative and their offices and one which shows what Arab leaders have been saying for the last 25 years to their own people about attacking and destroying Israel and the United States. We are being threatened and have been for a long time.

I agree lack of existence threats are thoroughly "un-Islamic". I do trust it really is an rather serious difficulty. i have were given self assurance the extremist and the anti-Islam will proceed to fireplace up hate, until eventually it ultimately combust into global chaos. What began as youngster's play, is right away escalating to a line interior the sand, with both section putting forward "C'mon I dare you to bypass it........."Zapiro stated his sketch replace into not meant to offend Islam, besides the undeniable fact that he needed it to be "problematical". In reaction to his mission, some idiots' say " we may be able to kill you for what you've finished". What else might want to favor to we call this? the most suitable public desires to rouse and understand we are in ordinary words getting used as interest products interior the "media monopoly interest". "Stir some scandal" so the time-honored public can spend some extra money on information and products from cyber internet labeled classified ads. it really is all a gimmick to those making the money.. yet to the ignorant and intolerant ,it really is an rather serious difficulty. we could continually all awaken and take caution to what's happening round us formerly it seriouysly receives out of hand.

Write to your elected representatives. Of course, unless you're a multi-billion-dollar corporation with lots of money to contribute to his campaign, your letter will be thrown in the wastebasket.
