I am angry that muslims are so offended he quoted a 14th century book about a conversation that took place about 800 yrs ago! Now he's trying to revive the Crusades? c'mon people! If anything the Muslims are, they seem to be the only ones fighting in the name of a religous icon! Not us! To be honest even after 800 yrs they are still not off the mark. - "The emperor comes to speak about the issue of jihad, holy war," the pope said. "He said, I quote, 'Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.'"- You dont see christians blowing themselves up! And since the Spainish Inquisition we have not used violence to recruit new christians. I think they are pissed c/ he is correct!

http://www.amw.com/missing_children/brief.cfm?id=40266 Shotguns, Searches, and Still No Sign of Trenton Duckett
Authorities discovered the body of Trenton Duckett's young mother Melinda in her grandparent's home on September 8th. Police say she used her grandfather's gun to take her own life, not the shotgun she bought in a pawn shop two days before Trenton went missing. Investigators say she left behind some important clues that could help lead them to little Trenton.
I just wandered what everyone else thought happened to this little angel. I think that because the mother killed herself she probably killed her son. Their are so many reasons why. For example buying a gun two days before the alleged kidnapping, and dying her hair,as a mother I find her behavior desturbing.I Pray for that family.

Just yesterday "Kimveer Gill, 25, of Laval, near Montreal" shot over 20 people leaving one dead and many in very critical condition. Apparently one of his favorite video games was called ""Super Columbine Massacre," an Internet-based computer game that simulated the April 20, 1999, shootings at the Colorado high school by two of its students that left 12 classmates and one teacher dead."

I posted a question to see if such violent video games like "Super Columbine Massacre" should be legal and surprising many of the responses thought it should be legal. We really are off balance when it comes our legal concept of freedom.

Everything needs limits to be healthy. I'm not talking about total limits or total freedom just simply some common sense will do.

For instance the kidnappings and rapes of girls as young as 2 yrs old in the Congo. What is going on over there and why is nothing being done about it and other horrible events in other countries? How do celebs have more importance than world events?

This question is especially for those who have never to been to an Arab or Muslim country! I'd like to know what people from different countries think of Muslims. I hear a lot of racist comments and stereo types. Do some people actually think Muslim and terrorist is the same thing? Anyone thinks that ALL Arabs are Muslims? Does anyone think that Arabs still ride camels( i heard that one before), live in tents, and that ALL Muslim women are all covered in black from head to toe? I wana hear some stereotypes you have! Really curious to know what some people think.
**Im a Christian living in an Arab and Muslim country so for the record... I myself dont have these stereotypes.

The reason i mention both is zim is what SA will become, it seems that when you have 2 cultures diametrically opposed and which ever side has the power they are going to look out for themselves and their interests. It would be foolish to try and pretend otherwise other examples are what happened to india during independence it split into 3 countries pakistan and bangladesh for the muslims and india for the hindus. Also what happened in france with the arabs and the blacks rioting because of their multicultural baggage and the french way of life clashing. Countries that have not went down the multicultural route japan, singapore and the scandinavian nations have the highest standard of living in the world virually no crime and racism isnt even a word in the dictionary.

I do not - look at my posts and you will see what I think.

But I'm interested in what YOU have to say. I am looking for the most vitriolic, hateful, outrageous accusations you have. Tell me again how they caused 9/11, and how they are as bad as (or worse than) those strapping bombs to their kids and bombing, beheading, torturing and mutilating innocent civilians. Tell me how they are war criminals and out to turn their countries into police states. Tell me how they should treat terrorist suspects more respectfully than they already do. Tell me how they are making money off the whole thing.

Facts are good, but I'm looking for the best "specimen" of the most virulent, original rant I can find. Links aren't particularly helpful. Please do, though, observe the Terms and Conditions. I'm not inciting anyone to break them, or make threats. Just give me your honest thoughts.

I think a lot of you need to vent, too. Here's your chance - tell us!

Consider this "therapy."

Frankly, my view on all this is that guns must be banned. The world is full of too many sick people to take such a risk.

I'm talking about the shooting in Montreal, and another lovely young girl taken from her family thanks to some sick ******* who was mentally deranged.

He's not even worth the time of day to read about...not going to spend one second thinking about that pathetic life.

On September 15th, the Catholic Pope made some desparaging remarks about Mohammad (actually he repeated someone elses remarks):

"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached".

Statement originally made in 1391 by the erudite Byzantine Emperor Manuel II Paleologus.

I dont see any Muslims standing up against terrorism NOW and its clear they've been doing this since BEFORE 1391!!!

SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME how the Muslims of the world have ANY ROOM to be angry about this!

I have no pact with Christianity but excuse the Pope for REPEATING a statement made in 1391 that is true today.

In his speech at the University of Regensburg, Pope Benedict quoted criticism of Islam and the Prophet Mohammad by 14th century Byzantine Emperor Manuel II Palaeologus, who wrote that everything Mohammad brought was evil and inhuman, "such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached".

Benedict repeatedly quoted Manuel's argument that spreading the faith through violence is unreasonable, adding: "Violence is incompatible with the nature of God and the nature of the soul."

I'm interested to know how people perceive fat people in today's society. Having been one myself, I tend to view them as lazy and weak-willed (as I was when I was fat). I know we shouldn't care how people look, but it's not just their looks, it's their health that's suffering. Perhaps we find the sight of fat ugly because it's not the way our bodies should be (same goes for skeletal models).

Consider all the resources poured into Iraq by the coalition forces, the tragic loss of life which continues on a daily basis, the divisions created in western countries, and Saddam Hussien who is still going through a bizarre trial, an aknowledged despot who triggered all this and they still haven't executed 3 years on...what has been achieved? Surely one or two strategically place explosions, probably of a radio-active nature would have been cheaper, quicker, and achieved about the same.....that is to say a stuffed up, dysfunctional Iraq. What is your view?

I was watching the news this morning and there was a lady amputee who had a new bionic arm which moved by the power of her thoughts. I was just wondering what would happen if she thought about murdering someone, say, like stabbing her boyfriend whilst preparing the dinner, and then her arm carried out the attack -would she be guilty of murder? After all, it's not a crime to just 'think' about doing something....
