To be honest, I would accept the draft notice. I have already served 6 years in the Army and wouldn't mind going back in if they called me.

One of the things that makes this country as strong as it has been over the years has been the people who have volunteered to serve and protect the rest of us. A draft notice is our government's way of saying "Hey, look, we need your help!"

I would be proud to put the uniform back on. Then I would get to see a lot of my friends again who are overseas right now. And I would also get to protect the rest of you who have absolutely no idea what it takes to keep you safe.

There has NOT been a draft in the U.S.A. since 1974. Get a clue and stop with the silliness.
If it came back to the draft and I were to get one I would gladly re join the militart once again!

There is no United States draft for military conscription. Where have you been for the past 30 years or so?

I've signed a conscientious objector statement a long time ago, so I'd submit that to the army. If they reject that, I'm hacking off my own toes. I'd rather be toeless than dead for Bush's ego war.

You're right...Canada is getting tired of refugees...LOL

Pity you poor boys (and gals...do they draft moms?) You'd better think long and hard come election time and heed what the rest of the world is telling you!

Well,I would never get one. They don't want an old disabled woman. But if my 19 year old son were to get one,I would hope that I raised him right and he would go and serve his country.

I'd make sure it's real. I don't think we've had a draft since Viet Nam.

Show them my DD-214 which indicated prior service, then ask where I can help.
