It seems that whatever any Christian says these days provokes 'total outrage' in the Muslim world. Well, 'moderate Christians', like me, are getting pretty tired of your 'total outrage' at the drop of a hat. You are making it very hard for people like me to defend your positions, and frankly, if 'moderate Muslims' don't stand up and start being 'moderate', you are going to create more 'extremist' Christians. (Like I said. I regard myself as 'moderate' but I am also starting to become 'irritated' by the antics of the Muslim World.) I don't particularly like the Catholic Church, but was what the Pope said so terrible, or has Islam now become a religion of 'angels'? You know that is not true.
Please, don't turn the entire Christian world against you, because then you are looking for more trouble than you can handle. Hasn't history taught you that a 'provoked and righteous' Christian is merciless. We utterly destroy entire cities (Germany) and do even worse things (Japan)

A friend of mine told me who listens to Rush Limbaugh that Rush claimed water vapor is the greatest cause to global warming. I am not saying this is true as I am an avid environmentalist and am willing to get to the bottom of this global warming issue. But if there is some truth to it it really begs the question about hydrogen powered vehicles whoses only by-product is water.

"Two West Bank Christian churches were hit by firebombs early Saturday, and a group claiming responsibility said it was protesting Pope Benedict XVI's remarks about Islam.

In a phone call to The Associated Press, a group calling itself the "Lions of Monotheism" claimed responsibility. The caller said the attacks were meant as a protest against the pope's remarks about Islam."

So here you go...all the poor man said was more or less no religion should condone violence and everyone gets their knickers in a knot.

Remember, he who lives by the sword shall die by the sword and sadly there will be no Pearly gates waiting to welcome them in.

Who still believes that the Pope was wrong in his statement? Do you really believe that to be true when you see how violent thier reactions are? It's like they friggin lash out anywhere..on people who have nothing to do with any of it. Hate mongers is all they are..no other religion..not even SATISM..does what these radicals do.

Aren't Muslims around the world simply taking every opportunity they can to attack other Religions like Christianity?
Aren't Muslims proving themselves to be a constant threat to the rest of the world simply by their using every opportunity to raise their voices and fists against it.
Aren't they out of control?

Was the Pope's quoting of 14th-century Byzantine emperor Manuel II Paleologus's remarks of "'Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.'" taken out of context and is now going to be used as a tool to bring their anger down upon the Church?
What do you think?

the school that my son goes to has terrible school dinners. my son has to queue up for most of his dinner hour to receive something that i wouldnt feed my dog. im not saying id prefer him to eat chips but come on there has to be a middle ground i say good on those women on the news yesterday as they have bought this debate back into the public eye. maybe we should start sueing the people who make and sell this rubbish then they would soon have to buck up or be replaced by companies that can do a better job. come on mums because after all we are the ones that are paying out gd money for this rubbish that is harming our kids.

Why is everyone getting so defensive when other people make fun of Steve Irwin's death? The man was an entertainer and knew the consequences of dying. Therefore its his own fault for dying the way that he did and should be laughed at for being so stupid. I for one hate steve irwin and say to hell with sympathy for a moron. He deserved it and anyone else that wants to risk his life to show us stupid sting rays should quickly suffer the same fate. We know what they look like, we have pictures, but thanks anyways steve!!!

And so we have Pope Benedict, quoting a 14th Century Christian Emperor speaking to a Persian scholar on the truths of Christianity and Islam, and speaking about the issue of jihad,( holy war.)

"Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new," Benedict quotes, "and there you will find things only evil and inhuman such as his command by the sword, the faith he preaches."

humm ...and so the Persian scholar and Muslims live by and under the religion of Muhammad, but also under God.

...and the reaction of modern day Muslims, is that the Pope insulted them.

But George Bush said earlier before the Iraq war, that
"God told [me] that it was okay to invade Iraq"

humm...and so Bush and Christians live by and under the religion of God

so, Bush went straight to the top.

but there was no reaction from the Christians.

But Ithink it is rather insulting to me, to many others that Bush would insult God that way.
