Why is everyone getting so defensive when other people make fun of Steve Irwin's death? The man was an entertainer and knew the consequences of dying. Therefore its his own fault for dying the way that he did and should be laughed at for being so stupid. I for one hate steve irwin and say to hell with sympathy for a moron. He deserved it and anyone else that wants to risk his life to show us stupid sting rays should quickly suffer the same fate. We know what they look like, we have pictures, but thanks anyways steve!!!

Steve Irwin was a nice guy. You are contemptful of his enthusiasm, given that that was the only easily recognizable aspect of his personality, and this is what you hate about him. We live in an age that is ever more beset by pessimism, and people enjoyed that someone could still inspire with the simple joy found in their work. Steve Irwin was a risk taker though, and you, being a coward, have been informed by life experience to stay home and not play. But just because he had the balls to go into the wilderness and enjoy it at the same time, that does not cede over the right to life's benchwarmers to say "he had it coming." You should be bowing to his memory as you superior, because no one will ever know your name or care that you existed except the cracker spawn you call your family.

I agree with Belle M.. i am australian & proud,
I am defensive for Steve Irwin, because he can't be,
I am a proud Australian, & In Australia we stand up for what we believe in and we stick together..
It's YOU that has the problem, as someone else said you are a selfish prick..
How would you like it if your mother died.. and sick people laughed about it, and wanted to see her dying..
You would see it in a whole different light..
Steve did not deserve to die, Less then i can say for some..
He did amazing things and he put Australia on the map & taught the WHOLE WORLD about conservation and animal welfare..
HE DID NOT DIE STUPIDLY.. THE MAN WAS FILMING SOME FOOTAGE FOR BINDIS TELEVISION SHOW..

People are literally obsessed with this because he was not an evil, bad person. He had very good intentions - of getting close to animals (and reptiles & insects & fish, etc.) and letting the audience see them as they were in their natural habitat. There are far more "deserving" men to die in this world. Steve Irwin was on the top of noone's list.

The guy was definitely a histronic.
However, instead of wrapping himself in opulence like, say John Denver or ...well, anyone from hollywood, he used most of the money he made to start a zoo to educate people about animals, bring them closer to them, and to conserve wildlife. He didn't just throw money at causes, either; he was actively involved. I have a lot more respect for him than just about anyone else thats become famous off television.

I agree with the other person who said you should have accomplished what all he did. I saw the show a few times, not my thing, but am I glad his wife is now without her husband and his children have no father now, NO....Very angry little man you are to say he is a moron, YOU don't know him just like I don't!!!... Boy the world is such a bright place with people like you in it....anger management buddy!!

I dont get defensive about him alone, I get defensive for anyone working a good cause. his was for the wildlife conservation and putting his life in the front takes guts, he didnt have a stuntman.
If it wasn't stingrays, I was getting wondering when a giant crocodile will attack and swallow him one day. He not only entertained us with his wild antics but taught us to understand the animal world better.
So keep your views and attacks on him yoy yourself you moron!
