I was in NY, Long Island actually at the Dr.'s office, for a physical. I was in the waiting area watching Good Morning America when the news came on, I could not beleive it and then the tv's went off b/c of the towers, affects reception. People were so shocked, and turning the radios loud.

I was actually on vacation and I was just chilling at home and seen the break in news report. My feelings were 100 different things
1. I was afraid it wasn't going to stop there.
2. I was overwhelmed by how many people lost their lives
3. I was suddenly thankful for alot of things that I personally took for granted

And for the very first reply on this answer (Al Bundy), what do you mean stop talking about it? Nothing like that should ever be forgotten. Apparently it was no one you knew that died, but what if it was? Would you want them to forget about your spouse or mother or father? I don't think so!

I walked in to catch my husband in bed with a druggie. after the big fight i made him call my mother to tell her what he did, and she said turn on your TV. and there it was, the end to my world. or so i thought, but i picked up and moved on . so i will never forget 9/11 i pray for all that lost loved ones that day.

Getting ready for work. Devastated. I thought it was an accident, we all did...then I was watching when the second plane hit..and that was when I realized the amount of danger we were all in. I hope it never happens again.

I was in another time zone so I was sleeping when it happened. Someone called me that evening, which was early morning for me,
to wake me with the news. I was half-asleep and thought it was
some crazy,tasteless joke.
