You can consider me neutral as to the validity of the war in Iraq for this question. I seem to remember growing up in the 60's many TV interviews with brave young Americans in the field of battle in Vietnam. For the child I was it was pretty heartwrenching, but at least Americans could identify with our soldiers. I realize interviews in a war that is going badly for us is not good for public morale, but aren't we showing a horrible disrespect for their lives by allowing the media and government to silence their voices of valor and sacrifice?

Hwy 93 in AZ is closed with police stop/check point right as you head north on 93 out of Kingman heading towards the Dam and Vegas- they are stopping and restricting passage of traffic to only those that live in Dolan Springs, white hills and chloride- and that is due to "crash at Hoover Dam" -so the flashing message board says- and the agent on duty stopping people at this new checkpoint-said it was "Cranes -(yes-plural) collapsing and covering everything-power is out and well...thats why"- ---seems alittle odd I cant find any current info on it and it happened between 5pm and 8pm friday 9-15-06 and its been blocked off and traffic re routed and checked- since that time- and all traffic that happens to be allowed passage past this new stop check point setup is being turned around near mile marker 25-near Rosie'sDen and not permitted beyond there at all!!!! DO YOU KNOW WHY? OR HAVE ANY INFO OR LINKS THAT CAN HELP ME FIND OUT INFO ON IT?

Someone in the Polls and Surveys part of Yahoo Answers said it did, but I can't find any info on the Internet about it. Is it true? I think they said it happened today or yesterday.

I've seen this man's press conferences, heard is radio addresses, I've followed his itinerary re many trips abroad.Im curious though, about who the REAL thinkers are in this administration and want to know just who outlines his agendas. (And I know he has a lot of advisors, but I'm sorry, after he makes a speech, God help him, when the questiions begin, he makes jokes, he's alwaqys starting off by saying:
"Well, yes, that's a good question"
but then he really doesn't answer it.)

I am a displaced New Orleanian now living in Central Florida. On the surface, my life here would seem to be better than my life in New Orleans: better job, better pay, better apartment, etc. Yet, there is not a single day that passes that I do not wish I was home, problems and all. At the risk of sounding cliche, I now know what it means to miss New Orleans, and it causes me real physical pain the longer I am separated from her. Every hour I work, every moment I spend in earning money is dedicated to going home.
So, I want to know, what about my fellow Gulf Coast residents? Are you better of than you were before Katrina, or are you just biding your time until you can go back home? Do you, like me, miss home and cannot wait to return & rebuild, or have you had enough & will not go back?

I ask that only Gulf Coast residents respond to this posting. In all honesty, I have no interest in the opinions or comments of those who have never lived there. You cannot understand our woe.

My mom showed me something she printed about Steve Irwin that said he was born again two weeks before his death and he made the statement that with his salvation, he was happier than he had ever been in his life. My hope is that it is true but does anyone know if this is for real?

i'm referring to the outrage over what the pope said...mere words, and a quote from somebody else no less..why the hell do they think they they are the only religion that counts..as a christian, i feel we try to be tolerant of other religions...i don't just feel that way, i know it to be fact!..seems like muslim/islam is so intolerant..this is a serious question, i'm not just letting off steam...thanks

The two malls in my city recently imposed a new rule; that anyone under 18 at the mall on friday and saturday night after 6 pm must have an adult guardian with them.

I am a responsible teenager. I don't drink, do drugs, use profanity, i have never been in trouble with the law. And yet because of teenagers who do those things at the mall, (well i guess they were doing those things, i've never seen it or heard obout it, it wasn't a huge problem to my knowlege) i can't hang out there on friday or saturday night without my parents.

Now maybe i'm overreacting, but it seems to me that they could punish the trouble makers without punishing kids like me who are innocent. I have a right to freedom of assembly, and if a 16 year old is by law responsible enough to drive a car, they should be responsible enough to shop at the mall without a guardian.

Feedback is appreciated.

ok heres a question/ comment. its is involving the rallys and anger going on now about a comment the pope has made in reguards to the islam faith. now the pope stated that islam faith is evil to be practicing faith at the hand of the sword. he quotes a line from the bible of his faith. now the muslim people in the middle east are starting fires screaming chanting demanding an appaulagy and yadda yada. now a quote from the holy qu'ran"any muslim of faith shall not befriend a christian" it also goes on to say in an unquoted way that muslims shall behead any christian. guns are illigal in the middle east and are only held by the police. every friday in 90% of all middle eastern cities riyadh included being the capital of saudi arabia they hold beheadings still to this day (at the hand of the sword) for rapist, muders and petty repeat offenders. now can you tell me where its wrong for the pope to say something he believes(a quote from his bible of his faith) not his opinion ,but his faith

Why do Israelis in specific, and Jews in general get away with everything? Why did they get away fro killing children in Lebanon?

Don't reply to this question by saying something about terrorism. Just tell me why the Israelis kill children.
