I think it's a great idea. Politics are truly in his soul, that's why he is so effective. He also has his own kind of charisma and inherent people skills. I think Bill Clinton would be successful in just about any political office or forum, and I am sure he misses active involvement on some level. I think America is better off with him in the big picture, not out of it.

Why not? He spent eight years trying to subordinate the United States to the U.N.; maybe he'd be happier there. 'Course, it won't happen, because they would never choose a citizen of a major world power as Secretary-General.

He got the country out of debt and kept us out of war by being a good diplomat. He went only after the ones who needed to. Not destroying a whole country.
Bush made them mad right off by just daring them to do something. So they did.
He didn't rob from the poor and give to the richest Americans.
He would probably do a good job.

Can't be much worse than "coffee-cup" Annan. The UN is a pointless waste, so it might as well be Homer Simpson as Secretary-General.

I think he'd be a great UN SG. The Republican hatred of the UN would be amplified all the more though.
