Name all those has-beens and never-weres you can think of that make their annual appearance on the MD telethon.
Tony Orlando, Norm Crosby, and Ed Mchahon himself spring immediately to mind. Try to think of at least 5 stars
and lets see if we can guess the playlist for this years
telethon. For starters, how about Sheena Easton, Gloria
Estefan, Lola Falana, Jamie Farr, Gallagher, Merv Griffen, M.C. Hammer(he does Car insurance commercials
in chicago with Mr. T now), Florence Henderson, Judd Hirsch, Emmanuel Lewis(pretty much anyone or thing that once hung out with Micheal jackson qualifies without saying), Richard Marx, Liza Minelli, Paul Reiser, Bob Saget, Yakov Smirnoff(who actually makes a mint playing
for one-step-away-from-the grave geriatrics in Branson),
and of course the omnipresent Robin Williams(of course
wherever he is Whoopie Goldberg and Billy Chrystal can
be found cutting up uproariously)
Who did I leave out? Just give me five people i missed!

Kofi going to Iran was not to talk things over it was just to update his charge for defending them and Hezbollah. Knowing his term is ending in December he wants to insure getting the most from them befroe we kick their butt. Russia, France and China will not allow real sanctions so it is only a matter of time befre we have to take actions ourselves.

If you look closely at the situation between the US and Iran you'll find a bunch of similarities in the situation. The threat of nuclear war, both sides trying to pursuade the others and their own people, it's a very possible scenario.

Mid East countries have people living 3rd world while the government heads are fat off the oil!
And WHY are muslim's masacring their brothers in Sudan? Is it geonocide? Country name: Republic of the Sudan, Former: Egyptian Sudan. Government type: transitional - previously ruling military junta; presidential and National Assembly elections held in March 1996; new constitution drafted by Presidential Committee. Check their MUSLIM NAMES:
Administrative divisions: 26 states A'ali an Nil, Al Bahr al Ahmar, Al Buhayrat, Al Jazirah, Al Khartum, Al Qadarif, Al Wahdah, An Nil al Abyad, An Nil al Azraq, Ash Shamaliyah, Bahr al Jabal, Gharb al Istiwa'iyah, ... Now they want the USA to do more than the charitable assistance we are already doing. See their requests! http://www.africaaction.org/campaign_new/darfur.php
Every time the USA helps a muslim country we are considered by
them as occupiers etc. The muslim's are creating all these problems in the world CLEAN UP YOUR OWN MESS! use oil$

Even muslims living in America side-step the question. Also, why don't we see muslims marching in protest of the suicide bombing around the world? Is it because they consider all other religions wrong and don't care who dies for their cause?

Recently a serious terror plot was uncovered in the UK and those responsible were intent on bringing down a number of planes over the atlantic undoutably bound for the US. The result was increased security at major airports in the UK and indeed USA. Hand-luggage was even banned.

Presently the security level threat has been downgraded slightly and hand-luggage items are allowed again. However i was horrified to learn that Sikhs can carry their ceremonious knives/daggers onto planes. I am aware that they carry such items on their bodies because of their religion BUT is it right to risk the safety of others due to your religious beliefs? It just takes a terror-minded person to masquerade as a SIkh carry a knife onboard and then hey presto...more terror!

This cant be right!? WHat do you think? ALso im interested to learn of Sikh view on this matter. Should your beliefs fcome before the safety of others especially with the increased avaition security threat?

"BOSTON (Reuters) - Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, a 2008 Republican presidential hopeful, said on Thursday his administration's new restrictions on stem cell research are aimed at heading off an "Orwellian" future."
http://today.reuters.com/news/articlenews.aspx?type=healthNews&storyID=2006-09-01T161039Z_01_KNE158193_RTRUKOC_0_US-STEMCELL-RESEARCH.xml&archived=False

Orwell's _1984_ is about the government controlling the people by controlling and manipulating information, so "Orwellian" would be apt for the current U.S. regime, not stem cell research.

I'm guessing that Romney meant to refer to a future akin to Huxley's _Brave New World_, not _1984_. I don't see that as being accurate either, just less completely off-base. Any comments? Do you agree or disagree and why, please.

The second part of my question is about the use of language -- Romney uses this dark word "Orwellian" to paint SCR with fear and mystery. How do you see that?

today Saturday is my birthday. Last year when I turned 19 I was able to buy a Chrysler 300C,a month after that I purchased a house in The O.C,CA. It was the most successfull year of my entire life.Today unfortunately I wasn't able to do it again but I thank God for giving me the opportunity to at least breathe. I'm still a Realtor and I'm hoping to sell a Church for 3.5 Mill. I'm thank full because I'm so happy because I know tomorrow will be more successfull than last year.Thank You
