Bin Laden manhunt still drawing a blank
AP - Sat Sep 2, 12:10 AM ET

AFGHANISTAN-PAKISTAN BORDER - The al-Qaida terror camps are gone from Afghanistan, but the enigma of Osama bin Laden still hangs over these lawless borderlands where tens of thousands of U.S. and Pakistani troops have spent nearly five years searching for him.

Everybody is looking for Osama at the Pakistan/Afghanistan border. That is why I think that Osama is in Qom, Iran. Same place as Iran's Supreme's Leader Sayyid Ali Khamenei. Remember Osama wants to bridge the gap between Sunni and Shia. The US has some control over the Musharraf government in Pakistan but not over Iran. That makes Iran the safest place for Osama. Qom and Mashad have important Muslim shrines so they are the safest cities in Iran for Osama.

The US might take military action against the underground nuclear research facility at Natanz, the heavy water nuclear facility at Arak and the nuclear power plant at Bushehr, but it would not touch the holy shrines in Qom and Mashad.

I agree with you that he is probably somewhere along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. But as with all the other nut cases, it's only a matter of time. We'll find him. He's become the most wanted man on the planet so unless he is planning on hiding like a rat in a hole forever. We'll eventually get him and the world will be a safer place.

I have no idea but some guy just said (in another question/statement) that he knew where he was and wanted the FBI and CIA to know it and asked if we would forward that information so I emailed his question/statemetn to G.Bush and guessed at the email address and it went through. Probably a looped out fella hearing voices, etc...but he asked. Now the question has disappeared and I can't find it. How is that?

My guess is that he is in Kashmir, the one place on earth where no westerner dare go.
Ultimately it doesn't matter. He has been marginalized by being forced to run and hide as Pancho Villa was. We never caught that a**hole either, but completely destroyed his ability to mantain an army. He was later killed off by his own people when his influence was destroyed, and seeing as history loves to repeat herself, I think Osama will come to a similar end.

Being trained by the CIA and the also being that he is the scapegoat of the infamous "9/11 Terrorist" attacks, I don't doubt the U.S. has him and are protecting him so that they can continue their search for him.
