me and some friends have been arguing about this for about a day now.who would win in a caged fight a fullgrown silverback gorilla or a full grown lion? why?

Probably the gorilla. It weighs at least as much as the lion, and although it doesn't have claws or teeth, it has another very important weapon: Hands. Being able to hold onto your enemy with a pair of hands can be quite effective.

a silverback gorilla possesses skills that a lion does not...the ability to apply leverage for instance...the ability to stand up...etc...etc..the lion would lose bigtime...a silverback gorrila would crush it's spine at the least
