Maybe they shouldn't. Because that would make him a martyr to those who miss him. Currently it appears that things were better when he was in power or at least more stable. But this could all be by design by either the Iranians or others involved who profit from it all. If Iran is sucking oil from the same wells than it is in their favor even more so. So in a sense we are currently at war with Iran over oil. Killing Saddam might just make things worse. If he wasn't in prison he might have been dead by now anyway. Letting him live is denying him heaven and prolonging his suffering. Maybe we should give him as many cigars as he wants so he can gag on them.

NO!!! I don't think there will be any odds , I can't think of a scenario that would allow him to keep his life, unless some one tries to spring him.

I'd been iwllint ot bet they don't. Yesterday someone mentioned putting him back in office to straigthen out the mess in Iraq and said he would have completed the task in one week. Why does that suddenly sound like a logical solution?

He will be executed as while he is alive he's a threat to any administration running the country. It's possible that such an execution would either be reported as suicide or a fatal heart attack.

Not very likely. He should be hung by the neck like a common criminal.
